Diane Keaton, Kevin Kline, Richard Jenkins, Elisabeth Moss in Darling Companion
And more casting news! The writer and director best known from titles like Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and The Bodyguard, Lawrence Kasdan is set to direct Darling Companion.
The upcoming indie drama has Diane Keaton, Kevin Kline, Richard Jenkins and Elisabeth Moss all on board to star in it!
Movie will follow “a woman (Keaton) who takes in a stray dog as a companion to fill the void left by her distracted husband (Kline), only to see him lose the mutt after a wedding at their vacation home in the Rockies. A search for the animal includes several guests and a mysterious young woman.”
Soapdish Remake
Remake, remake! This time, Paramount is remaking the 1991 comedy Soapdish and Rob Reiner is set to produce this new version of the story about “an ambitious TV soap actress connives with her producer to scuttle the career of the show’s long-time star, but nothing works as they plan”.

1991 Soapdish synopsis goes like this: “Celeste Talbert has been the queen of the soaps for over two decades. Montana Moorehead needs to get her out of her way before she can move on and begins her program to get her to leave.
She hires an old boyfriend of Celeste to be on the show and has Celeste become a murderer in the script, but each attempt has unforseen consequences.”
Sally Field as aging star Celeste Talbert, Robert Downey Jr. as an ambitious producer, Cathy Moriarty in a role of a jealous co-star and Kevin Kline as her ex-lover were all the part of this movie cast.
Cary Elwes Joins Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher in Ivan Reitman’s Untitled Comedy
Cary Elwes is set to star alongside Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher in Ivan Reitman’s upcoming romantic comedy, previously titled Friends with Benefits.
Yeah, yeah, we all know that this title is no longer valid, because there’s another romantic comedy with the same title, starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. So, we should call this Untitled Romantic Comedy, right?
Man and woman, problematic relationship, with few comic moments perhaps, sounds like something that’s already seen, but still, some describe it as – an inverse When Harry Met Sally.
This upcoming project will be based on the Elizabeth Meriwether’s script, which will star Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher as two friends in a solely sexual relationship who develop true romantic feelings for each other.
Olivia Thirlby Joins Ivan Reitman’s Untitled Comedy
We already wrote about this young actress few weeks ago, but we are here now to inform you that Olivia Thirlby is in talks to co-star in director Ivan Reitman‘s upcoming untitled Paramount comedy.
As you see, Thirlby could join stars Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher in the film, previously titled Friends With Benefits.
Let us remind you that the film stars Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman as two friends in a no-strings-attached sexual relationship who start to develop romantic feelings for each other.
The cast also includes Kevin Kline as Kutcher’s father, Greta Gerwig as Portman’s brainy friend, as well as Ophelia Lovibond and Ben Lawson. Olivia Thirlby will play Portman’s sister.

Kevin Kline, Paul Dano, Katie Holmes and John C Reilly are all set to star in forthcoming comedy “The Extra Man.”
The film is based on a novel by Jonathan Ames; Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman wrote the script with the author. Anthony Bregman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and Stephanie Davis (The Caveman’s Valentine) will produce.
