Hit-Girl Chloe Moretz NY Times Profile
She’s only 13, but she’s, with no doubt, a very talented young girl. If you have a chance to watch Kick-Ass, than we’re sure you’ll enjoy that little Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz), as well as her beating up bad guys twice her size and more.
When you have that kind of role and you play it extremely good, than you can expect people to write about you, right? So, no wonder this young lady, Chloe Moretz, managed to get herself kind of profile review in New York Times, and we must admit that it was very interesting article, indeed…

Kick-Ass Review

I’ve been thinking about what makes Kick-Ass the single best Western action film I’ve seen in maybe a decade and it all comes down to director Matthew Vaughn’s impeccable sense of pacing. Too many crazy action films these days run out of steam by about the halfway mark; you get the best stuff in the first two acts and then act three turns into a slog of tying up story ends and wrapping up character arcs that were stunted beforehand. Vaughn doesn’t just keep the pace up throughout the entire film, he keeps building the pace so that the final action scenes are the biggest, craziest and most fun…read more [CHUD]
Kick-Ass, though, is an evolutionary leap, and the work of a director ready to gatecrash the A-list. If there’s a more entertaining movie this year, then 2010 is going to be a belter.
Vaughn went outside the studio system to independently fund and make Kick-Ass; it was the best move he could have made. Without studio stormtroopers breathing down his neck, Vaughn found the freedom to make a thrilling, hugely violent, darkly funny comic-book flick that didn’t have to pander to toy manufacturers or fast food chains putting pressure on him to pull his punches. Little girl in a superhero costume? Cute. Shifts Happy Meals. Little girl in a superhero costume slicing people’s legs off and saying the C-word? Not so much…read more [EMPIRE]
Two New Kick-Ass Clips
Yahoo! Movies has posted new clips from Kick-Ass.
Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass is based on the groundbreaking, best-selling comic by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.
Kick-Ass tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero.
SXSW 2010: Kick-Ass and Phillip the Fossil
We’re back with short report from South by Southwest Film Festival SXSW 2010.
This time we’re giving you first look on some projects that got our attention, hoping that you’ll also be interested in. And, since the festival is still on, let us remind you to check the updates on our site.
Kick-Ass Trailer #3
Lionsgate has released a new trailer for Matthew Vaughn‘s adaptation of the Mark Millar comic book series Kick-Ass.
As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name – Kick-Ass – assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers.
SXSW 2010
South by Southwest, or if you prefer SXSW, is a set of interactive film and music festivals and conferences that take place every spring in Austin, since 1987.
So, Spring has come, and now is the right time to give a little attention to this interesting project, so we’re packing our things and we’re on the road to SXSW festival!
It’s very nice, and encouraging thing that guys at SXSW say this is the internationally acclaimed, nine-day Festival that celebrates “raw innovation and emerging talent, with a truly diverse program ranging from provocative documentaries to subversive Hollywood comedies.”
Although the music events offerings get most of the attention, in the last decade the film component has emerged as a destination in its own right.
Just for a record, one of the movies that’s been shown last March on SXSW was a little war movie named The Hurt Locker. You remember that one from last week, right?
Two New Kick-Ass Movie Posters
MTV has just premiered two new character posters for the upcoming Kick-Ass comic-book movie, that will be available at South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW) this weekend.
