Paul Giamatti Joins Carlei’s ROMEO AND JULIET
An acclaimed character actor, Paul Giamatti has joined the cast of Carlo Carlei‘s upcoming Romeo and Juliet period adaptation about the two most famous star-crossed lovers.
The Ides of March star will be playing Friar Lawrence in the film, which has been penned by Downton Abbey and Gosford Park scribe Julian Fellowes, so it will probably feature British accents.

Second poster for Laika’s stop motion animated movie ParaNorman is now online.
It comes from the team behind Coraline and The Corpse Bride. Kodi Smit-McPhee (Let Me In) stars as Norman. Other actors lending their voices to the proceedings include Anna Kendrick, Leslie Mann, John Goodman, Casey Affleck, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

Laika Entertainment has debuted the second full length trailer for the upcoming 3D stop-motion animated supernatural horror-comedy: ParaNorman.
Directed by Chris Butler and Sam Fell (Flushed Away), and starring the voices of Anna Kendrick (Up in the Air), John Goodman (Monsters, Inc.), Leslie Mann (Knocked Up), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad), Casey Affleck (Ocean’s Eleven), Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm), and Elaine Stritch (30 Rock), ParaNorman follows a young misfit (Smit-McPhee) with a very special talent who must save his town from an age-old curse.

Earlier we saw the teaser poster for the upcoming 3D stop motion feature film ParaNorman, and now a teaser trailer has been released.
The film is based on an original story by Chris Butler (Corpse Bride), who also directed the film alongside Sam Fell (Flushed Away, The Tale of Despereaux), and follows a young boy by the name of Norman Babcock who can see dead people. That, however, is the least of his problems…

The first teaser poster for the stop-motion animated zombie film ParaNorman has been sent out online.
The film comes from the animation studio LAIKA (stop-motion studio behind Corpse Bride and Coraline). Featuring the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee, Anna Kendrick, John Goodman, Jeff Garlin, Leslie Mann, Casey Affleck, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, ParaNorman centers on a boy whose ability to commune with the dead when his town comes under siege from zombies, ghosts, witches, moronic grown-ups, and a centuries-old curse.
Vampire Diaries Paul Wesley on Romeo and Juliet Role
Paul Wesley, the actor of Polish origin known for his roles as Stefan Salvatore in The CW TV series The Vampire Diaries and as Aaron Corbett in the ABC Family miniseries Fallen has been offered the part of Count Paris opposite Douglas Booth who portrays Romeo and Hailee Steinfeld as Juliet in the latest film adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic, directed by Carlo Carlei.
Kodi Smit-McPhee Joins Ari Folman’s The Congress
Let Me In star Kodi Smit-McPhee is quite busy little guy these days.
Just in case you’re wondering why, here’s the big casting news: McPhee will star in an upcoming Ari Folman‘s futuristic sci-fi film titled The Congress.
He will join the cast that already includes Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Harvey Keitel and Paul Giamatti.
In an interview McPhee said: “I’m also doing a film called The Congress which is just in the rehearsal process and I think next week we’ll be shooting. I don’t really know how to explain it, I think it’s sci-fi and futuristic.”
The Congress is an adaptation of the novel The Futurological Congress by Stanislaw Lem, who also wrote Solaris, which has been twice adapted to film.
Two New Let Me In Posters and Featurette
Two new posters and featurette have been released by Overture Films for Let Me In starring Chloe Moretz, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Richard Jenkins and Elias Kosteas.
In case you’re not familiar with either this new film or the original Swedish version (Let the Right One In), Let Me In concerns Chloe Moretz (Abby), a mysterious 12-year old girl, who moves next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road). Owen is a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school and in his loneliness, forms a profound bond with his new neighbor. Owen can’t help noticing that Abby is like no one he has ever met before. As a string of grisly murders occupy the town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl is really a savage vampire.
