Franklin Roosevelt was one of the greatest American leaders of the 20th century. Bill Murray, the guy who’s portraying him isn’t too bad, either. And Olivia Williams, a British thesp who entered into the scene with a leading role in Kevin Costner’s The Postman, is the frontrunner to play FDR’s wife Eleanor Roosevelt in Roger Michell’s Hyde Park on the Hudson.

The movie which had its premiere at last year’s Toronto Film Festival is both written and directed by Richard Eyre (“Notes on a Scandal,” “Iris,” “Stage Beauty”). The script was adapted by Eyre and Charles Wood.

The movie is a black comedy written and directed by Jacob Estes.
The film is the first for Estes since his 2004 thriller “Mean Creek.”
