Today we have a new pic from “Kick-Ass,” which features 11-year-old super-assassin named Mindy Macready/Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz).

Also, /Film is reporting that the new Matthew Vaughn film will be premiering brand new footage from the film at the 2009 Comic Con (San Diego). The “Kick-Ass” panel will take place on Thursday, July 23rd towards the end of the day. The full schedule for Comic-Con will be out next week.

Mark Millar recently spoke with SCI FI Wire about the adaptation of “Kick-Ass“, which follows a 16-year-old who decides to become a superhero, and revealed that the development for “Kick-Ass 2” is happening.

Millar is motivated by the fact that “Wanted” made tons of money and the prediction that the upcoming adaptation “Kick-Ass” will be just as successful.

Aaron Johnson (Dave Lizewski) plays title character, an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan with a few friends and who lives alone with his father. Lizewski decides to become a superhero even though he has no athletic ability or coordination. Things change when he eventually runs into real bad guys with real weapons.

HitFix.com has debuted three new images from the upcoming comic-book adaptation “Kick-Ass.” One of the photos is the first official look at Nicolas Cage.

Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson) is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan with a few friends and who lives alone with his father. His life is not very difficult and his personal trials not that overwhelming. However, one day he makes the simple decision to become a super-hero even though he has no powers or training.

The folks over at AICN recently posted a brand-new still from “Kick-Ass“, the Matthew Vaughn directed adaptation of the Mark Millar graphic novel, which is currently shooting.

Below you can see Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass and Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist. The flick also stars Nicolas Cage, Chloe Moretz and Xander Berkeley.

Kick-Ass follows the story of a 15-year-old boy named Dave Lizewski who, despite living in the “real world”, decides to become a superhero.

Watch for “Kick-Ass” in theaters sometimenext year.

Mark Millar Talks About “Wanted 2″

With “Wanted” being a huge success this summer, it’s no surprise that creator of the graphic novel, Mark Millar is already talking plans for more sequels to the film.

Plans were put into motion to make another movie as soon as the movie broke the $50 million mark, and Millar was of course happy to oblige:

“What I will be doing is providing them with a very small amount of stuff for a story, and that will be used as a basic story that they can build from. It will be a small outline that can possibly be picked apart and not used – but it will be something exclusively for the second film, and no one will ever really see it…. It will be some of the stuff that we didn’t utilize from the first book for the movie – like chapters three and four – there will be some stuff from that, so in the loosest sense it will be based on the book, but only very little,”
