First Look at Tim Burtons FRANKENWEENIE
Disney has sent over the first photos of Tim Burton’s stop-motion animated film Frankenweenie. The dark comedy is an adaptation from Burton’s 1984 live-action short.

Finally some update on Tim Burton‘s upcoming Frankenweenie!
We already know that the movie is based on Burton’s short film from 1984, that this new version of the tale will be fulfilling of Burton’s original ambition to turn the story into a full-length movie, and today, Walt Disney Pictures have (let’s repeat once again – finally) released the official plot synopsis for the whole thing! In Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie young Victor conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life, only to face unintended, sometimes monstrous, consequences. A stop-motion animated film, “Frankenweenie” will be filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D, which will elevate the classic style to a whole new experience.
Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie Voice Cast Announced
Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Landau, and Martin Short have all signed to lend their voices to Tim Burton’s stop motion animated remake of Frankenweenie.
The movie, scripted by John August, will be based on the 1984 comedic horror short Burton made as a student, the story tells of a man who brings his dog back to life after it is killed by a car.
“9″ Extended Featurette And New Clips
Fans will have just two weeks to catch “9” movie, directed by Shane Acker and co-written with Pamela Pettler. So, until then you can watch the extended featurette for the movie which shows never before seen footage, interviews with cast and crew and brand new clips from “9.”
The upcoming animated adventure / fantasy / Sci-Fi is based on Acker’s Academy Award-nominated 2005 short “9,″ a post-apocalyptic nightmare in which all of humanity is threatened.
Directors Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov are among the feature version’s producers.

An action-packed adventure, director Shane Acker’s animated fantasy epic “9″ is the feature-length expansion of his Academy Award-nominated 2004 short film of the same name. The screenplay for the feature is by Pamela Pettler and directors Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov are among the feature version’s producers.
The time is the too-near future. Powered and enabled by the invention known as the Great Machine, the world’s machines have turned on mankind and sparked social unrest, decimating the human population before being largely shut down. But as our world fell to pieces, a mission began to salvage the legacy of civilization; a group of small creations was given the spark of life by a scientist in the final days of humanity, and they continue to exist postapocalypse.
