Columbia Pictures has released the first clip for their upcoming Spider-Man film The Amazing Spider-Man, which is directed by (500) Days of Summer’s Marc Webb.
The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Dennis Leary, and Iffran Khan.
International THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Trailer
The Amazing Spider-Man is definitely a huge project, but somehow it still looks completely boring.
I guess we’re all interested in this movie simply because the cast looks pretty good, and partly because director Marc Webb promised us “an untold story that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story.”
I’m not convinced yet, but here’s a new international trailer for the whole thing.

Columbia Pictures has revealed the new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man, a complete re-imagining of the Spider-Man film univese, which goes back to the origins of Spider-Man as he uncovers a secret about his parents and, for the first time in a film, does battle with The Lizard.
The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt, based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

What you see is what you get? I hope not, because, sorry, but I hate this poster and that untold story already!
Official Synopsis for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Reveals New Details
There is some key ‘untold’ aspect of young Peter Parker’s coming-of-age story – which was unseen in previous live-action Spidey pics, but will be discovered in director Marc Webb’s remake of the Marvel Comics superhero franchise.
The earlier released plot synopsis suggests that the ‘untold story’ being discussed involves Pete’s efforts to discover the truth behind his parents’ disappearance when he was at the age of six. Besides, Spider-Man producer Avi Arad confirmed as much during the Japanese press tour, while also teasing the relationship between Richard Parker (Campbell Scott) and the film’s central baddie, The Lizard, a.k.a. Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans).

It is the fourth Columbia Pictures film based on that Marvel Comics character, and the first film in a rebooted Spider-Man film franchise. The film will portray Peter Parker as he is developing his super powers in high school.
