‘Cloverfield’ director delays sequel

CloverfieldMatt Reeves has revealed that a sequel to Cloverfield will be delayed while he makes The Invisible Woman. Studio Paramount began talks with Reeves, producer J.J. Abrams and screenwriter Drew Goddard earlier in the year to make a sequel to the hit monster movie. However, Reeves told MTV that he would direct The Invisible Woman before any Cloverfield sequel. He described The Invisible Woman as a “kind of a Hitchcockian thriller, in the vein of Marnie, about this woman that gets so desperate to save her family that she goes to crazy lengths and enters a life of crime”.
