Matthew Vaughn to Adapt Two Mark Millar’s Comics?

SuperiorWhen you have such a successful project like X-Men: First Class, then it’s just not ok for you to stop thinking about your future projects, right?

So we have no reason to blame Matthew Vaughn for this news – apparently, he’s now looking to direct another comic book property from Mark Millar. Or, are we talking about two new projects?

Confused yet? Ok, here’s the thing. We learned that Vaughn is now interested in two different comic book properties both from writer Mark Millar.

You all know they make such a good team, after all Millar is the creator of Kick-Ass which Vaughn adapted for the big screen. But, let’s get back to those projects.

The first one is Superior, illustrated by Leinil Francis Yu and published by Marvel’s Icon imprint.

The other one is The Secret Service which was unveiled this week by Vaughn, Millar, and artist Dave Gibbons.

Written by Millar and illustrated by Dave Gibbons that one will be released in February of 2012 and is based on an idea by both talents alongside Vaughn himself.

‘X-Men: First Class’ New Domestic and International Trailer

X-Men: First Class Poster

We have added a new trailers (domestic and international) for “X-Men: FIrst Class”. The trailers features brand new scenes, including our first looks at Oliver Platt‘s Man in Black character, as well as Ray Wise and Michael Ironside.

Synopsis: X-MEN: FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

Tim Miller Tapped by 20th Century Fox to Helm X-Men Origins: Deadpool

Tim Miller, X-Men Origins:  Deadpool

According to Deadline, Tim Miller has signed to direct the Deadpool film, with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick attached as writers and Lauren Shuler Donner producing and the X-Men spinoff movie expected to star Ryan Reynolds.

Tim Miller is a well-respected name in the FX community, a strong collaborator with a genuine sensibility and Blur Studio has done some impressive work for films as well as in the world of video games.

As you know Miller and his own Blur were very involved in the attempt to re-imagine Heavy Metal, animated anthology that was set to feature segments by Jim Cameron, Zack Snyder, David Fincher and David Prior.
