Steven Spielberg to Direct GODS AND KINGS Moses Film
Back in November we reported that Warner Bros. and Steven Spielberg were in formal talks for him to take on the project of the Bible’s size – Moses-centric epic film Gods and Kings.
Now, multiple Academy Awards-winning director is near commitment to helm the same biblical epic.

Multiple Academy Award-winning director Steven Spielberg has so many projects on his plate. His two films are set to be released in North American theaters this December – 3-D animated movie, The Adventures of Tintin, as well as War Horse that will be released just five days after The Adventures, on December 25th, 2011.
Favorite helmer’s announced projects include Lincoln, starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field that is already underway in Richmond, Virginia. After that, Spielberg will start shooting a film of Daniel H. Wilson’s novel Robopocalypse.
But the news is that the Warner Bros. studio and Spielberg are now in formal talks for him to take on the project of the Bible’s size – Moses-centric epic Gods and King.
Wrecked Trailer Debuted!

The film tells the story of a man “who returns to consciousness after his car crashes into a ravine, with no idea who he is or how he got there” and “must overcome incredible odds to survive.” More details, trailer, official plot synopsis, and poster, after the jump.
Green Lantern Set Photo: Abin Sur’s Spaceship?
Comicbookmovie has gotten their hands on a photo that appears to be from the Madisonville, Louisiana set of Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern and appears to be the spaceship of Abin Sur, the Green Lantern who gives Hal Jordan (played by Ryan Reynolds) his power ring. It looks like it has made a water landing instead of crashing on land as it does in the comics.
Fox Officially Announces Fantastic Four Reboot
20th Century Fox has confirmed that it will reboot its Fantastic Four franchise. Rumors of a potential reboot first hit back in March.
Akiva Goldsman (I Am Legend, Hancock, Jonah Hex) has been hired to produce and Michael Green, the executive producer of TV’s “Heroes” and writer of “Green Lantern,” will pen the script for the new “Fantastic Four.”
The 2005 “Fantastic Four” and 2007 sequel “Rise of the Silver Surfer” were directed by Tim Story and starred Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis and Ioan Gruffudd. Since the deals for the reboot are just getting made, it is unclear if any of them will return and Fox was unwilling to comment on the development.
GREEN LANTERN Concept Art
The Green Lantern concept art is just too good to pass up. Illustrator Brian Murray posted a number of images that he created for Green Lantern screenwriter and (potential) director Greg Berlanti on his official website. The images were part of the presentation package Murray created for Berlanti, some of which were used to get Berlanti the directing gig to begin with. Though casting rumors for the JLA version of the Green Lantern indicated that the character would be reimagined as African-American, these illustrations show a square-jawed white man– pretty much your typical image of a superhero.
