Rising Stars to Topline Silent Hill: Revelation 3D
Adelaide Clements and Kit Harrington will star in the sequel based on the popular video game of the same name. Shooting Silent Hill: Revelation 3D began yesterday in Toronto, helmed by Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane).

Kit Harington is absolutely one of the UK up and coming theatre actors, and his role of Jon Snow in Game of Thrones definitely launches him for a strong move into TV and film.
Davis Films producer Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody, that announced lensing of this sequel, most recently produced Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, and Wentworth Miller. Past teamwork includes Resident Evil: Apocalypse and “Silent Hill.”
Silent Hill 2 Gets Title and Director
STYD reports that Michael J. Bassett, who last wrote and directed Solomon Kane, will direct Silent Hill: Revelations.
Bassett revealed that the sequel will be filmed with 3-D cameras instead of being converted post production.
The plot for Silent Hill 2 goes thusly:
The sequel follows Heather Mason, along with her father, who have been on the run – always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t full understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.

Armed with a rapier and flintlock pistols, Solomon Kane (James Purefoy) dresses in black, his pale face and cold eyes shadowed by a hat. He is a true rogue, blasting and slashing forward on a mission of pillage and plunder in war-torn North Africa in the late 1500s. When the devil lays claim to his hopelessly corrupt soul, Kane escapes only to face the sobering truth: in order to seek redemption, he must renounce his wicked ways and devote himself wholly to a pious life. His newfound piety is put to the test when he is forced to return to his murderous ways to save England from the grasp of evil.

Synopsis: A 17th century Puritan, Solomon Kane (James Purefoy) is a somber-looking man who wanders the world with no apparent goal other than to vanquish evil in all its forms. His adventures, published mostly in the pulp magazine Weird Tales, often take him from Europe to the jungles of Africa and back.
Deathwatch’s Michael J. Bassett directs from his own script, with Max von Sydow, Pete Postlethwaite, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Alice Krige and Mackenzie Crook co-starring.

Here’s brand new Comic Con clip from the upcoming “Solomon Kane” movie, which is based on a character created by Robert E Howard, the legendary writer behind stories of “Conan the Barbarian” and “Red Sonja.

The terrific Pete Postlethwaite (who most of us probably remember from “In the Name of the Father” – - – and that one guy remembers as the mercenary man from “The Lost World”) and veteran actor Max Von Sydow (recently wasted in the atrocious “Rush Hour 3”) have joined the cast of “Solomon Kane, an epic tale of a 16th century soldier (James Purefoy) tormented by his past evil deeds, seeking redemption by battling a sinister power threatening the kingdom.
Rachel Hurd-Wood (“Perfume: the Story of a Murderer”), Alice Krige (“Silent Hill”) and Mackenzie Crook (the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films) have also been cast, according to Variety.
The pic, set to be directed by Michael J. Bassett (“Deathwatch”), is based on the pulp novels of Robert E. Howard (“Conan the Barbarian”).
