Final Toy Story 3 Poster

Walt Disney and Pixar have released the final poster for their upcoming animated flick Toy Story 3.

The third installment of the blockbuster animation series Toy Story made as a 3-D movie is directed by Lee Unkrich who previously co-directed “Toy Story 2,” “Monsters, Inc.,” and “Finding Nemo.” Michael Arndt (”Little Miss Sunshine”) wrote the script for the movie.

Toy Story 3 follows all familiar toys as they are donated to a day-care center following Andy’s departure for college. Now they will be forced to decide whether they’d like to stay and be a part of a new, bigger family of toys, or whether they’d like to try and make a break for it and return to Andy.

New Toy Story 3 Characters Unveiled

Toy Story 3 Poster Buttercup

Disney/Pixar have unveiled two new character images from Toy Story 3.

We’ve already had Ken, Peas in a Pod and Hog-O’-Lot Bear and today it’s Buttercup, a lovely lady Unicorn and Trixie. So take a look at the shiny new characters.

We don’t know what Buttercup’s role in the film is yet, but here’s what the synopsis has to say:

Saddle up for fun and let Buttercup lead your child away on a magical adventure! This cuddly unicorn features velvety-soft, snow-colored fur with sparkly gold and pink accents. He sports a signature mythical golden horn and a fun-to-comb mane and tail. Buttercup’s durable plastic eyes are both charming and scratch-resistant. Hypo-allergenic. Ages 3 and up.

The creators of the beloved Toy Story films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of our favorite gang of toy characters in Toy Story 3. As Andy prepares to depart for college, Buzz, Woody and the rest of his loyal toys are troubled about their uncertain future.

Directed by Lee Unkrich, Toy Story 3 is a comical new adventure in Disney Digital 3D that lands the toys in a room full of untamed tots who can’t wait to get their sticky little fingers on these “new” toys. It’s pandemonium as they try to stay together, ensuring “no toy gets left behind.” Meanwhile, Barbie comes face to plastic face with Ken.

Disney/Pixar has released the brand new poster for Toy Story 3, featuring a look at new toy - Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear.

The second trailer for Pixar’s Toy Story 3 has been released online via MySpace and features some of the franchise’s new characters!

Our beloved Andy is now grown up and headed off to college, leaving Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), and the rest of his toy chest to be shipped off to the luxurious Sunnyside Day Care to mix it up with a whole new generation of kids, and a whole new batch of toys.

New Toy Story 3 Characters Revealed

Pixar has debuted new character banners for Toy Story 3.

One of them is a character banner that features the new toy, Peas-in-a-Pod, while the other is a banner featuring a look at Ken (to be voiced by Michael Keaton) and that states that 14 new characters will be featured in the movie.

Here’s how Peas-in-a-Pod is described:

Peas-in-a-Pod will quickly become a parent’s favorite on-the-go toy. The soft, plush pod secures the happy peas inside with a durable metal zipper, making it perfect for the car or stroller. The Peas-in-a-Pod plush toy also develops fine motor skills by catering to a child’s natural grab instinct.
