Apparition has unveiled a brand new poster for their upcoming “The Runaways” film, starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.
“The Runaways” synopsis: Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning star in this music-fueled story of the ground-breaking, all girl, teenage rock band of the 1970s: The Runaways. The film follows two friends, Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, as they rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. Joan and Cherie fall under the Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley, played by Michael Shannon, who turns the group into an outrageous success and a family of misfits. With its tough-chick image and raw talent, the band quickly earns a name for itself—and so do its two leads: Joan is the band’s pure rock’ n’ roll heart, while Cherie, with her Bowie-Bardot looks, is the sex kitten.

“The Runaways” synopsis: The Runaways (Neon Angels) is based on lead-singer Cherie Currie’s book ‘Neon Angel’ – a reflection of her experiences as a rock star, but also delivering a strong anti-drug warning to teens and others. David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” serves as a metaphor for the narrative– a slow countdown, a surreal but spectacular rise to fame, then alienation and burnout – a long long way from home.
The movie chronicles The Runaways from 1975 – 1977; formed by teenage girls, Joan Jett (Kristen Stewat) and Cherie Currie (Dakota Fanning), living near Hollywood, CA., and heavily manipulated by their manager Kim Fowley (Michael Shannon) as ‘jailbait rock’ (all the girls were 16 or younger when the band recorded their first album). The band ultimately succeeds on their own merits as musicians, becoming the first all-girl rock-band to ever break into the world of arena-filling hard rock acts. Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough also reportedly has a role in the film playing Currie’s twin sister.

JONAH HEX Poster: Josh Brolin and Megan Fox
Yahoo! Movies has released the new poster for “Jonah Hex,” the DC Comics adaptation starring Josh Brolin, Megan Fox, and John Malkovich.
The DC Comics adaptation revolves around a bounty hunter, an American Civil War veteran with scars covering the right side of his face, who attempts to stop a Southern plantation owner from raising an army of the undead. The movie will be a sort of sci-fi western, even though the comic book is not sci-fi at all.
Jonah Hex first appeared in the early 1970s in the issues of “All-Star Western” before graduating to his own series in 1977 that ran for about 10 years. A new series was launched in 2005. The character also had a run in the 1990s that combined the Western genre with supernatural elements.

Will Arnett And Michael Shannon Join Jonah Hex
Will Arnett and Michael Shannon have joined the cast of Warner Brothers upcoming “Jonah Hex” movie, based on graphic novel which is created by writer John Albano and artist Tony DeZuniga.
Arnett, known as a comic actor, will play a straight-arrow Union soldier who enlists Hex and is blindsided by the dirty fighting style of his enemies. Oscar nominee Shannon (“Revolutionary Road“) has been cast as circus group leader Doc Cross Williams.
