Dimension Films’ Thriller PENTHOUSE NORTH Adds Andrew Walker
Dimension Films have announced last month that it has acquired U.S. distribution rights to the film Penthouse North from director Joseph Ruben (Sleeping with the Enemy).
Now, Andrew Walker, who recently co-starred on the new Lifetime’s cop drama Against the Wall, has joined the cast of a psychological thriller that includes Michael Keaton (The Other Guys) and Michelle Monaghan (Source Code).

You probably remember Michelle Monaghan from Machine Gun Preacher title, but you’ll soon have a chance to watch her in Better Living Through Chemistry as well.
And, apparently, that’s not all, because this cute lady is now attached to star in a completely new indie drama Fort Bliss which comes from director Claudia Myers.
This time, Monaghan will have to deal with some war issues and as you already guess, the story is set in Afghanistan!

Relativity Media has unleashed the official trailer for their upcoming action drama Machine Gun Preacher.
In this inspirational true story, Machine Gun Preacher is about Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing criminal who undergoes an astonishing transformation and finds an unexpected calling as the savior of hundreds of kidnapped and orphaned children. Gerard Butler (300) delivers a searing performance as Childers, the impassioned founder of the Angels of East Africa rescue organization in Golden Globe-nominated director Marc Forster’s (Monster’s Ball, Finding Neverland) moving story of violence and redemption.

What is Jeremy Renner’s loss could be Sam Rockwell’s gain, which isn’t a bad thing. Something had to break after landing an Oscar nomination for his role in The Hurt Locker. Renner attached himself to several tentpoles with Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol being the biggest. And something in his schedule had to give and that’s become an indie comedic thriller Better Living Through Chemistry.
Relativity Acquires Machine Gun Preacher
Relativity Media announced today that it has acquired North American rights from Lionsgate to theatrically market and distribute Machine Gun Preacher. Directed and produced by DGA and Golden Globe®-nominee Marc Forster (Finding Neverland, Monster’s Ball) and written by Jason Keller (Relativity’s Untitled Snow White Project), the film stars Gerard Butler (300) in a tour de force performance and will release in Los Angeles and New York on September 23, 2011. The film will expand markets in the weeks to follow. Lionsgate will continue to oversee international distribution on the film, working in partnership with Relativity.
The film also showcases powerful performances by an ensemble cast, including Michelle Monaghan (Due Date), Kathy Baker (Cold Mountain), Oscar®-nominee Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road), Madeline Carroll (The Spy Next Door) and breakout actor Souleymane Sy Savane (Goodbye Solo).
Stephen Dorff Named to Replace Matt Dillon in Boot Tracks
The Blade villain Stephen Dorff was named to replace Matt Dillon in the indie neo-noir thriller Boot Tracks, and veteran Ray Winstone has also joined the cast of Boot Track, with Michelle Monaghan as the female lead character.
David Jacobson (Down in the Valley, Dahmer) is set to helm from a script by Matthew F. Jones, who based it on his novel of the same name.

Summit Entertainment has made available online, courtesy Yahoo! Movies the first five minutes of the opening sequence from Duncan Jones‘ highly anticipated sci-fi action thriller Source Code.
The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga and Jeffrey Wright. Jones led the production from a script by Ben Ripley.
