“The Fourth Kind” synopsis:In 1972, a scale of measurement was established for alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind. This encounter has been the most difficult to documentuntil now. Structured unlike any film before it, The Fourth Kind is a provocative thriller set in modern-day Nome, Alaska, where—mysteriously since the 1960s—a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year. Despite multiple FBI investigations of the region, the truth has never been discovered. Here in this remote region, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler (Milla Jovovich) began videotaping sessions with traumatized patients and unwittingly discovered some of the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented. Using never-before-seen archival footage that is integrated into the film, The Fourth Kind exposes the terrified revelations of multiple witnesses. Their accounts of being visited by alien figures all share disturbingly identical details, the validity of which is investigated throughout the film.

Milla Jovovich and Kiele Sanchez Join A Perfect Getaway
Director David Twohy (Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick) has posted two new photos images of Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) and Kiele Sanchez (Lost) from his upcoming film, “A Perfect Getaway,” on his blog.
A Hawaiian honeymoon turns dangerous for two lovers (Steve Zahn and Mila Jovovich) when they discover they are being stalked by a pair of killers (Timothy Olyphant and Kiele Sanchez).
“A Perfect Getaway” — an action thriller was originally slated to hit theaters this week through MGM. According to Twohy, Universal has picked up the distribution rights now with the eye to give it a late-summer bow.
“Anyway, the date that works for Uni schedule is now sometime in August, possibly August 14th,” he writes. “And I’ll even caveat that, if only because movies frequently change release dates these days. Sometimes it’s a reflection of the movie itself, sometimes it’s simply about the musical chairs that all studios play with their releases. So don’t get too hung up about it. I don’t.
Milla Jovovich to Star in Clock Tower (updated)
Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich has signed on for the best-selling survival horror video game franchise from Capcom, “Clock Tower“. She has joined Brittany Snow (Prom Night) and Alyssa Jayne Hale in the film.
In the movie a woman is tormented by an evil that has haunted her family for generations, but the only man who believes her is the psychiatrist she meets in a mental institution. Together they must find the source of her family’s damnation and then fight for their lives, until the curse is finally laid to rest.
Martin Weisz is directing the project for Senator Entertainment and The Weinstein Company.
Shooting is set to begin in November.
Update:
While we’ve confirmed our previously reported rumor, it appears Milla is denying the claim via an official fansite. I guess it’s time to file this one back as RUMOR once again.

‘Palermo Shooting’ – Wim Wenders – Cannes 2008
‘Palermo Shooting’ premieres on Saturday, the day before the winner of the festival’s coveted Palme d’Or is announced
Wim Wenders, who won the Palme d’Or for his 1984 movie, “Paris, Texas,” is to screen “The Palermo Shooting,” a romantic thriller with a multilingual, multinational cast, Dennis Hopper, Giovanna Mezzogiorno and Milla Jovovich.
As a successful photographer of world-wide renown, Finn leads a life that is as prominent as it is hectic. He gets by with very little sleep, his cell phone is never still, and the music from his headphones is his most constant companion.
But when his life suddenly spins out of control, Finn takes off and leaves everything behind. His journey leads him from Düsseldorf to Palermo. There he finds himself persecuted by a mysterious shooter who’s after him with a vengeance. At the same time a whole new life is beginning for Finn. And a great love…
Campino, singer with German punk band Die Toten Hosen, stars as Finn, a photographer from Dusseldorf. Here he is shown capturing model Milla Jovovich (she plays herself), who was actually pregnant during filming.

At the start of the film, Finn is shown to be a photographer of some renown, but as his life starts to unravel he decides to leave all the success behind.

On his journey into the unknown, he finds himself tracked by a mysterious assassin and encounters the ominous Frank, played by Dennis Hopper, who warns him that death is not far away.

Finn’s destination is Palermo, where he meets the beautiful Flavia (Giovanna Mezzogiorno). In Sicily’s capital, Finn and Flavia fall in love and Finn begins a new life, with renewed hope.
