Morena Films Announce Two New Films: ‘Bon Appetit’ and ‘Neon Flesh’
Spanish outfit Morena Films will shoot two comedies later this year, Bon Appetit and Neon Flesh.
David Pinillos‘ $4.7m debut film Bon Appetit, about three young cooks who share their passion for cooking in a Swiss avant garde restaurant, stars two exciting young actors, Unax Ugalde, from competition title Che and Nora Tschirner (Rabbit Without Ears).
The film is structured as a co-production between Morena Films and Orio Produkzioak from Spain, Egoli Tossell in Germany and Zodiac Pictures from Switzerland. Beta Cinema is selling internationally.
Fox Buys ‘Che’ for Spain as Two Separate Films
Steven Soderbergh‘s competition title Che will be released by Fox in Spain as two separate films.
Pedro Uriol of Morena Films, Che’s Spanish producers says:
“The first film (The Argentine) will be released by Fox in September, and the second (Guerrilla) will follow after that, although the date is yet to be confirmed,”
There has been some consternation over releasing Che in Cannes as one four and a half hour film. But the producers have insisted that the film be split into two for its theatrical release in Spain.
