Nicolas Cage In “Drive Angry”
Nicolas Cage has signed to star in a revenge action movie “Drive Angry.”
The movie will be direct by Patrick Lussier (”My Bloody Valentine 3D”) for Nu Image/Millenium Films.
The screenplay is written by Lussier and Todd Farmer.
“Drive Angry” is the first foray into 3D for Nu Image/Millenium and marks a return to the format for Lussier.
The story centers on a man (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway.
This will be the third collaboration Cage with Nu Image/Millenium. The latest, “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans,” will be presented at Telluride, Venice and Toronto Film Festival.
Production begins in April in Louisiana.
