Orlando Bloom in The Three Musketeers 3D

Orlando BloomFew days ago this was just a rumor. But today, we are here to share with you the official announcement: Orlando Bloom has signed on to play the Duke of Buckingham in Paul W.S. Anderson’s 3D adaptation of The Three Musketeers.

And that’s not all! British comedian James Corden has also been cast as the servant Planchet.

So, Bloom and Corden join a cast that already includes some interesting and well-known names. Let’s remind: Christoph Waltz as Cardinal Richelieu, Logan Lerman as D’Artagnan, Ray Stevenson as Porthos, Matthew MacFadyen as Athos, Luke Evans as Aramis, Mads Mikkelsen as Rochefort and Milla Jovovich as M’lady De Winter.

Juno Temple Joins Three Musketeers

British actress Juno Temple is in negotiations to play the Queen Consort of France, Anne of Austria in the new Paul W.S. Anderson‘s 3D version of The Three Musketeers, that we already wrote about few days ago.

This role would put her on a quite impressive cast list that already includes Christoph Waltz, Mads Mikkelsen, Logan Lerman, Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans, Matthew Macfayden and Milla Jovovich.

Based on Alexandre Dumas‘ novel, The Three Musketeers sees the young, determined D’Artagnan attempt to prove himself worthy of joining the three musketeers – Athos, Porthos and Aramis – to battle the evil Cardinal Richelieu.

At this moment we know D’Artangan is Logan Lerman, Ray Stevenson will be Porthos, Luke Evans is Athos, while Matthew Macfadyen is Aramis.

Death Race Prequel in the Works

A prequel toPaul W.S. Anderson‘s “Death Race” remake is in the works at Impact Pictures (Anderson and Jeremy Bolt’s production outfit).

In the first film Jason Statham played a wrongly imprisoned racing champion who competes in several televised brutal prison races to win his freedom.

Tony Giglio (Timber Falls, interview) has been hired to write a script, based on a story by Anderson. Giglio may also direct. The script is said to delve into the past of the driver known as Frankenstein.

Today we have batch of new shots from the upcoming “Death Race” remake starring Jason Statham (Crank).

Jason Statham leads the cast of an action-thriller set in the post-industrial wasteland of tomorrow, with the world’s most brutal sporting event as its backdrop. A penitentiary full of felons has inspired the jailers to create a grisly pastime ripe for lucrative kickbacks. Now, adrenalized inmates, a global audience hungry for televised violence and a spectacular arena come together to form the Death Race.

Three-time speedway champion Jensen Ames (Statham) is an expert at survival in the harsh landscape that has become our country.
