Bond 23 To Start Filming In Late 2010

Daniel Craig, James BondAccording to MI6, Bond 23 will begin production in late 2010. Daniel Craig told fans outside the Broadway theatre for his play “A Steady Rain” that production will kick off at the “end of next year.

It will be the third 007 installment starring Craig. His previous two films, “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace,” earned $594 million and $586 million, respectively, at the worldwide box office.

The next installment in the James Bond franchise is being written by returning scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace), and “The Queen”, “The Last King of Scotland”, and “Frost/Nixon” scribe Peter Morgan. David Arnold will compose the score for his sixth 007 movie. Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have yet to confirm a director.

That news follows the general schedule of Bond movie production which commences 10-12 months before release, indicating a November 2011 opening.

Matt Damon to Star in Clint Eastwood’s “Hereafter”

Matt Damon will star in supernatural thriller “Hereafter,” Clint Eastwood‘s next producing-directing project for Warner Bros. Pictures, set to begin shooting this fall.

Peter Morgan, who got an Oscar nomination for “Frost/Nixon,” wrote the script. Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Morgan and Tim Moore are executive producing. Spielberg previously worked as producer on Eastwood’s “Flags Of Our Fathers” and “Letters From Iwo Jima.”

Finally, here’s the first official announcement for the 23rd James Bond movie.

Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions and MGM have today announced that Oscar nominated Peter Morgan (“Frost/Nixon,” “The Other Boleyn Girl,” “The Last King of Scotland,” “The Queen“) will team up with Neal Purvis and Robert Wade – co-writers of “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace” – to write the script for Bond 23.

London Film Festival opening movie Ron Howard’s “Frost/Nixon” premiered last night in London’s Leicester Square.

Among those attending the red carpet event – Michael Sheen, Kevin Bacon, Frank Langella, Toby Jones, Matthew Macfadyen, Oliver Platt, Peter Morgan – was David Frost himself, who said he was “delighted” by the film.

Poster for the upcoming Ron Howard-directed “Frost/Nixon” film is unveiled.

The film is based on the popular Broadway production, by the same name, and focuses on interview Nixon gave, post-resignation, to English journalist David Frost. Nixon spoke about the Watergate scandal during the sessions, which aired in 1977.

Universal has officially released the first trailer and new images for upcoming political drama “Frost/Nixon“.

Adaptation of the hit Peter Morgan (The Queen, The Other Boleyn Girl) play based on a series of televised interviews that David Frost secured with former President Nixon in 1977. The final interview ended with Nixon tacitly admitting his guilt regarding his role in the Watergate scandal. Frank Langella and Michael Sheen are reprising their Broadway roles as Nixon and Frost, respectively. Kevin Bacon will play Nixon’s chief of staff Jack Brennan.
