Chris Pratt Joins Moneyball
NBC’s Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt is set to star in the upcoming Bennett Miller‘s movie Moneyball.
The movie is an adaptation of Michael Lewis’ 2003 book with the same title, although we should add “The Art of Winning an Unfair Game” part, since that’s, perhaps, the best explanation of this game-winning-strategy story.
The movie will follow: “Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget, by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.”
Pratt “will play Scott Hatteberg, whose career as a catcher for the Boston Red Sox ended after he ruptured a nerve in his elbow and could no longer throw a ball post-surgery.
He was recruited by the Oakland A’s the following year to play first base, and he helped lead the team to the playoffs in 2002 and 2003 with strong batting as a designated hitter.”

Few days ago we had a chance to hear that Reese Witherspoon is in talks to join the untitled Paul Thomas Anderson’s drama based on the history of Scientology, with the working title The Master.
Well, guess what, now we have information that Amanda Seyfried, Emma Stone and Deborah Ann Woll are all being considered for the role of Elizabeth, The Master and Mary-Sue’s daughter.

Reese Witherspoon is in talks to join the untitled Paul Thomas Anderson‘s drama based on the history of Scientology.
Actually, the project’s working title is The Master and we already know that Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jeremy Renner are on board as well.

So, above mentioned Hoffman will play Lafayette Ronald Hubbard, while Renner is on board for the reformed drifter role.

Paul Thomas Anderson will write and direct a period drama starring Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Anderson and Hoffman worked together before on “Boogie Nights,” “Magnolia” and “Punch-Drunk” but this time the director has finally cast Hoffman, who won Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role in “Capote,” in the lead role of his new movie.
