Daniel Craig And Gemma Arterton In Quantum Of Solace

There were some rumours that “Slumdog Millionaire” director Danny Boyle will helm new James Bond flick but Boyle said that he enjoys Bond movies but he has no plans to direct one.

Speaking to MTV, Marc Forster suggested that his ideas for the next movie aren’t in the franchise’s best interests.

“They asked me if I wanted to,” he said. “I’ll never say never again, but at this point I would say no…”

“It really depends on what direction they want to take it. For me, I wanted to take it to a harder and darker place, but now that that journey I’ve gone on has succeeded, I feel like the next one can take it to a bit more humorous place again.”

Forster added that the next Daniel Craig spy outing “should take it in a lighter and more humorous way, maybe add a few more girls and a bit more sex, all that kind of stuff. I think that would be interesting.”

Would you like to see more action in James Bond 23?

Quantum of Solace Reviews

Posted by Allan Ford 5 November, 2008 Comments

Shorter and more action packed, Quantum of Solace is a James Bond film for the new millennium. Unlike Brosnan’s swan song Die Another Day, the CGI is limited, and unlike Casino Royale the film doesn’t try to be too hip and trendy. From the pulsating opening car chase - you know that you are watching Bond, and like the older movies in the series you feel that it is the end of another adventure (it is) and not a piece of grandstanding from the second unit and stunt departmentsfull story [Screen Rant]

Be prepared for a few changes in this new entry of the Bond canon. James Bond is back, and this time it’s extremely personal. The rugged, harsh, and rough agent picks up exactly where he left off in another striking thriller that leaves you feeling exhausted, if not exhilaratedfull story [Blogger News] Continue Reading…

Marc Forster Will Not Return For “Bond 23″

Posted by Allan Ford 21 October, 2008 Comments

Quantum of Solace director Marc Foster will not be returning for the 23rd film in the James Bond series.

Actually, Marc Forster has revealed that Daniel Craig convinced him to helm the latest James Bond film. The film-maker had initially turned down the project, claiming he was nervous he would be sucked into the corporate Bond “machine”.

However, he changed his mind after meeting up with 007 Craig.

“I thought: ‘He’s really real. There’s no bulls**t.’ I felt like I wanted to work with this guy. The next thing I knew I was on a plane.”

Forster says he was offered the next one, but declined because he prefers a balance of films.

“They offered me the next one, but at this point the pressure is so intense - it’s a year of not having a life. And I don’t know if I want to do that again. It’s literally not having a life, and I mean that, it’s not exaggerated. I feel like life is short, you have to find a balance.”

Although Forster made that statement when asked about returning for another Bond movie, his experience on Quantum of Solace was certainly fantastic.

If that disappoints you, then you won’t certainly like the rumors going around claiming that Daniel Craig is thinking about not returning as Bond as well. The actor supposedly won’t make a decision until he sees how well Quantum of Solace does.

“Quantum Of Solace” will hit domestic theaters on November 14th 2008.

Daniel Craig Offered, But Declined, Lead Role In “Thor”

Posted by Allan Ford 21 October, 2008 Comments

Daniel Craig has been indeed considered to be the leading man in “Thor“.

Craig, Olga Kurylenko and director Mark Forster attending the press day in Beverly Hills on Monday, October 20, for the 22nd Bond film “Quantum of Solace“. IESB’s Robert Sanchez talked with both Olga and Daniel, who actually had a bit to say about another widely known hero, Thor, who is currently set up over at Marvel for a 2010 release with Kenneth Branagh attached to direct.

IESB asked if Craig was interested in doing something a little different character-wise, like Thor? Craig said no, he turned it down and laughed about it.

Sanchez continued, “seriously, I heard the folks over at Marvel had you on a short list to be Thor.”

Craig said yes they [Marvel] did approach him but he turned it down. He added jokingly, it would have been too much of a power trip, both Bond and Thor, and running around with long hair and a hammer.

So far, “Thor” has been linked to many actors from wrestler-turned-actor Triple H to Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt. However, up to date, there is yet real indication on who will tackle the part. The search for Thor continues! [source: IESB]
