First Photos From DJANGO UNCHAINED Set
Every once in a while we talk about the upcoming Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained, but unfortunately we still get (only) these kind of set photos which show us nothing but the spaghetti western environment.
Of course we’re all excited about the movie, but please – we need more images as soon as possible!
Quentin Tarantino’s Best of List for 2011
Quentin Tarantino, well known for combining styles from his favorite genres into brand new mash-ups has released his own best of list for 2011 and it’s about as odd as you might expect.
Since Tarantino once said that he stole from every movie ever made I guess he will be using them at some point in the future, maybe already in his upcoming Django Unchained southern project.
Aussie Singer Catherine Lambert Joins DJANGO UNCHAINED
Tarantino fans can rejoice after almost a month and no updates – International Jazz Diva, Aussie singer Catherine Lambert has scored an appearance in his latest film, Django Unchained, which is scheduled to start filming in the US before Christmas.
The film is a western, set in the deep South during the 1850s, dealing with America’s history of slavery in one specific way.
Sacha Baron Cohen to Join DJANGO UNCHAINED
How bizzare. Sacha Baron Cohen is in some serious negotiations to join the cast of Django Unchained.
Yeah, that’s right, that’s strange, that’s awesome? Don’t know, I’m still surprised but there you go, the cast of Quentin Tarantino‘s upcoming project is getting bigger.
Which is good actually. I mean if Borat is good enough for Scorsese’s Hugo, he’s good enough for Django as well.
Anthony LaPaglia Has Tossed His Name Into the DJANGO UNCHAINED Gang
Quentin Tarantino could not make a better choice than an Aussie thesp Anthony LaPaglia to play Jano, the leader of a group of greedy Aussies who encounter slave-turned-bounty hunter Django (Jamie Foxx) as they are escorting a group of slaves recently purchased as fighters.
Furthermore, LaPaglia who largely put his film career on hold to star in TV drama Without A Trace, told Deadline he and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play ‘mean brothers” in the Tarantino’s spaghetti western, which he describes as ‘wildly ambitious and imaginative’ as it ‘deals with that subject matter in a way it hasn’t been dealt with before.’
Kerry Washington is Broomhilda in Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED
After a long, hard casting search Quentin Tarantino has gotten his wish and Kerry Washington has officially landed the role of Broomhilda in his newest film Django Unchained. The casting process took so long because Tarantino was trying to land an unknown actress in the part, but finally decided to go with the established name.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt In Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED

So, what do you think about this? Joseph Gordon-Levitt is now in talks to join the cast of Quentin Tarantino‘s spaghetti Western Django Unchained. I like this idea.
As far as I’m concerned, Gordon-Levitt should be in every single Hollywood movie. Even in this one.
After all, we already have Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Kurt Russell and Don Johnson on board for the whole thing, so this means only one thing – it’s going to be a very happy Christmas Day next year!
Miami Vice Star Don Johnson Cast in Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED
Don Johnson will be following his father’s footsteps and become a wealthy southern plantation owner. So, Don’s dad, who was a Missourian farmer, would have been proud of his son.
Joking apart, his father Wayne would be anyway proud of him. And Don would follow in the steps of John Travolta and the late David Carradine rather than his father. Vet Johnson is set to play wealthy plantation owner named Spencer Bennett in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, the character who oversees the black slave prostitutes, as the matter of fact.
M.C. Gainey For Role in DJANGO UNCHAINED
Another bit of casting news for Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained, which is gearing up to go into production this November with a January New Orleans shoot. This time, it involves veteran character actor M.C. Gainey, who is in talks to join the already impressive cast.
