Deadwood Creator David Milch to Adapt Video Game Heavy Rain
Every time we hear that some new movie based on some video game is coming – we’re little bit disappointed. Why?
Because in the end it turns out to be just another boring movie. But, you know, things may change this time, because David Milch has just signed on to pen the adaptation of the noir-style videogame Heavy Rain.
He’s the man responsible for creating NYPD Blue and Deadwood, remember?
Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne will produce project titled Rain through their Unique Features banner, but Milch won’t begin work on the project until he’s finished writing up season one of the new HBO horse-racing series ‘Luck’.

Ninja Assassin had a lot of potential to become the dream film of many fanboys. And until those fanboys see it, it may remain so. However, I found my dream slightly shattered after witnessing the film for myself. The first area in which this film fails, and the element that works entirely to its detriment, is in story. Raizo (Rain) is one of the world’s deadliest assassins, having been kidnapped as a child and raised by the Ozunu Clan, believed by the world to be a myth. When Raizo’s friend is executed by the clan, Raizo flees into hiding. He later reemerges, seeking revenge.
First NINJA ASSASSIN Trailer And New Poster
The first trailer for the upcoming action movie “Ninja Assassin” has debuted. The movie is directed by James McTeigue who is also directed great “V for Vendetta.” So, McTeigue re-teams with that film’s producers Larry and Andy Wachowski for this martial arts extravaganza “Ninja Assassin.” Check out the trailer below.
“Ninja Assassin” Behind-the-Scene Video
Some great footage from the set of the upcoming Wachowski brothers-produced action film “Ninja Assassin” has appeared online, showing several fight sequences, stunts and lots of ninjas.
Displaying first a distant shot of a group of ninjas running in the middle of a road with cars speeding in both of their sides, the footage let out the combat between the three ninjas. This behind-the-scene look also exposes Rain’s character covered in blood while running away from those who chase him.

‘Ninja Assassin’ News and Plot Summary
The team behind “V for Vendetta” are back in action and one has to wonder if the Wachowski brothers will have better luck as producers this time around than they did as directors for “Speed Racer“, the lowest cash producing film of May. Warner Bros. has sent out a press release stating that director James McTeigue is once again behind the camera as their martial arts extravaganza “Ninja Assassin” officially begins production in Berlin.
