Marisa Tomei and Sarah Jessica Parker may Join the Indie Comedy Married and Cheating
Michael London’s Groundswell Prods. along with Lauren Versel of Lucky Monkey Pictures are circling Sarah Jessica Parker and Marisa Tomei to star in Married and Cheating, an indie comedy being written and directed by Raymond De Felitta.
The Sex and the City star, renowned for playing single relationship columnist Carrie Bradshaw, would play half of one of three married couples who are struggling to find happiness in the film, set in New York and Paris.
Parker next plays in New Line’s New Year’s Eve and The Weinstein Company’s I Don’t Know How She Does It.
The Wrestler‘s Marisa Tomei is also in negotiations to appear in the picture. Tomei has The Lincoln Lawyer hitting theaters this week, and Crazy, Stupid Love with Steve Carell, later this year. And she is currently filming George Clooney‘s political drama The Ides of March.
CITY ISLAND Poster and Clips
Today we have poster and clips from comedy “City Island,” directed by Raymond De Felitta who is is best known for directing “Tis Autumn: The Search for Jackie Paris” and Two Family House”.
Based upon De Felitta‘s original screenplay, “City Island” is the story of a Bronx prison deputy Vince Rizzo (Garcia) who recognizes a prisoner (Strait) as his grown child whom he sired with another woman twenty years earlier. He decides to be the young man’s guardian in Rizzo’s family’s home, but his efforts to conceal the nature of his relationship to the young man promptly begin to unravel the complex web of deceits which have worn the family fabric threadbare through the years.
Robert De Niro and Andy Garcia in ‘Street of Dreams’
‘Street of Dreams‘ is a co-production between US-based FR Productions, Korea’s Hyun Jin Cinema and Japan’s Wides Japan.
It will be produced by Fred Roos, whose credits include ‘The Godfather: Part II‘ and ‘The Godfather: Part III‘, ‘Lost in Translation‘.
‘Street of Dreams’ is based on the true story of Montana Joe, a legendary Japanese-American gangster in the 1940s.
Robert De Niro has been cast as an Italian mafia leader. Andy Garcia, will also play a mafia boss.
