Dominic Cooper is Set to Star in Roger Donaldson’s CITIES
British actor Dominic Cooper gave us one of the last year’s best acting performances in The Devil’s Double and had one hell of the year in which he starred in Captain America and awards contender My Week with Marilyn.
Now comes word from Variety that Cooper has just entered final negotiations to join Roger Donaldson‘s international thriller Cities.

Cameron Crowe’s Elizabethtown stars Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst have rejoined the financial drama, Cities, the Roger Donaldson film that already had locked a solid cast of actors like Clive Owen and Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire).

Why? Well, because this is the same project first announced two years ago – it’s just that it had pretty cool title back then – Hungry Rabbit Jumps. Now, it looks that rabbit is no longer hungry – except maybe for justice, or whatever.

Roger Donaldson’s ‘Bank Job’ World Premiere
At the World Premiere in Leicester Square on Monday night, Donaldson explained how the true-life story in which the culprits (and the cash) were never found, manages to remain faithful to real events.
“How real to life is this? Well, I tried to make it as realistic as possible. We did a lot of research to make sure everything looked like the Seventies. We put a lot of effort in trying to make everything look genuine.”
The Bank Job features a veritable cavalcade of Brit faces (including the likes of David Suchet, Daniel Mays, Saffron Burrows and Craig Fairbrass) and Donaldson was more than happy with the final roster.

“The Bank Job” was inspired by a real-life 1971 London bank robbery that was never solved. A band of thieves tunneled their way into a safe deposit vault, taking millions of dollars in cash and jewelry. The robbery made headlines for several days, but then all reporting stopped as a result of a government gag order. In “Bank Job,” the crime involves murder, corruption and a sex scandal with links to the royal family. Ultimately, the thieves are among the most innocent involved.
