Based on Rick Riordan’s book. The film is based on the first novel in Rick Riordan’s “Percy Jackson & the Olympians” series.
Percy Jackson is directed by Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) and will be released to theaters on February 12, 2010.

Chris Columbus’ new movie “Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightening Thief” hits theaters on February 12th, and 20th Century Fox has begun airing television spots for the film.
Synopsis: It’s the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters have walked out of the pages of high school student Percy Jackson’s Greek mythology texts and into his life. Today we have the second trailer for the upcoming epic, “Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightening Thief.”
The film is based on the first novel in Rick Riordan‘s “Percy Jackson & the Olympians” series. The story revolves around a ‘troubled’ 12-year-old boy, Percy Jackson, who discovers that he is the son of the Greek god Poseidon during a field trip to a museum in New York City.

THE ZOOKEEPER Cast
Jon Favreau, Sylvester Stallone, Adam Sandler, Cher, and Judd Apatow are set to voice the animals in MGM’s live-action comedy “The Zookeeper,” which stars Rosario Dawson and Kevin James.
Jim Breuer, Faizon Love and Bas Rutten round out the voice cast.
The film centers on zoo animals trying to teach the keeper their methods of dating and mating to help him win back the woman of his dreams..

From Academy Award® nominated director John Madden (“Shakespeare in Love”) comes Hossein Amini’s wry adaptation of Elmore Leonard‘s best-selling crime novel. The beautiful Carmen Colson (Diane Lane) and her husband Wayne (Thomas Jane) become entangled in a scam with a bumbling, small time con artist (Joseph Gordon Levitt) and his over-the-hill hit man partner the blackbird (Mickey Rourke). Ultimately, it all comes down to one wife, one husband, two killers… and one lethal killshot.
Seven Pounds Review
“Seven Pounds,” which reunites Will Smith with Gabriele Muccino (who directed him in “The Pursuit of Happyness”), begins with a series of riddling, chronologically scrambled scenes. A man calls 911 to report his own suicide. He badgers a blind call-center employee – whom we suspect will be a significant character, since he’s played by Woody Harrelson – with complaints and insults. He embraces a lovely woman in an even lovelier beach house. He visits a nursing home where he terrorizes an administrator and comforts a resident.
For a while it is pleasant enough to contemplate these loose ends, and to tease from them the possible contours of a story. It is never unpleasant to watch Mr. Smith, who likes to play peekaboo with his charm, hiding it now and then behind fleeting shadows of anguish or malice. The music (Angelo Milli‘s score and a handful of emotive pop songs) combines with the deep colors of Philippe Le Sourd‘s cinematography to summon up intensities of sentiment not yet arrived at by the narrative, creating an interesting frisson of suspense. After a while, though, as the pieces of the puzzle snap together, curiosity gives way to incredulity…full story [The New York Times]
