“Dragonball” New Photos and Promo Shot

Thanks to IGN, we now have two photos and one promotional shots from the upcoming “Dragonball” movie. The images show Justin Chatwin as Goku, Emmy Rossum as Bulma and a first good look at Chow Yun-Fat as Master Roshi.

Based on the popular Japanese manga created by Akira Toriyama, whose work spawned best selling graphic novels, video games and a phenomenally successful television series, Dragonball centers on the heroic Goku, a powerful warrior who protects the Earth from an endless stream of rogues bent on dominating the Universe and controlling the mystical objects from which the film takes its name. ‘Dragonball’ Images Online

The first shot of Justin Chatwin as Goku and Emmy Rossum as Bulma from the upcoming “Dragonball” movie has appeared online. The picture is a scan from a Japanese magazine. DBTheMovie

Dragonball is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys.

In addition to Chatwin and Rossum, the film also stars Chow Yun-Fat as Roshi and James Marsters as the nefarious Piccolo. “Dragonball” hits theaters on April 3rd, 2009.
