S. Darko Trailer
The full-length trailer for the upcoming sequel to Richard Kelly’s cult hit “Donnie Darko” has appeared online. Entitled “S. Darko,” the new movie has very little to do with the original and will go straight-to-DVD on April 28th.
“S. Darko” takes place in the summer of 1995, seven years after the original film. It follows Donnie Darko’s younger sister, Samantha, who, in the wake of his death, has found herself at age 17 with a broken family, mired in feelings of insignificance. She and her best friend Corey set off on a road trip to Hollywood in a bid to ‘make it big’, but their journey is cut short when their car breaks down unexpectedly, leaving them stranded in a small desert town.
When a meteorite happens to crash-land nearby, Samantha is plagued by bizarre visions telling of the universe’s end and it appears that their breakdown was part of some grander plan. When she finds out she was actually adopted by the Darkos, and that she is in no way related to Donnie, she must face her own demons and, in doing so, save the world and herself.
“S. Darko” stars Daveigh Chase, Briana Evigan, Jackson Rathbone, James Lafferty, Ed Westwick, Matthew Davis and Elizabeth Berkley. It hits DVD and Blu-ray shelves April 28, 2009.
Elizabeth Berkley, Briana Evigan Hook Up with ‘S. Darko’

Elizabeth Berkley and Briana Evigan are the latest additions to the cast “S. Darko” (aka “Samantha Darko“), the sequel to “Donnie Darko“.
Ed Westwick (”Gossip Girl“) and Justin Chatwin (”The Chumscrubber“) also are in the movie, which stars Daveigh Chase (The Ring), reprising her role from the original cult classic.
The story, set seven years after the first film, follows Donnie Darko’s sister, Samantha, who, in dealing with her broken family, flees town with her best friend (Briana Evigan) when they are plagued by bizarre visions.
Berkley is playing a speed freak-turned-Jesus freak whose sentiments about ridding the world of its exponential sin are rivaled only by her infatuation with her dreamy pastor.
Evigan, repped by Gersh and Luber Roklin Entertainment, starred in “Step Up 2 the Streets” and appears on NBC’s summer series “Fear Itself.”
Elizabeth Berkley (”Showgirls” and “Saved by the Bell“), recently wrapped a stint on “CSI: Miami” and completed filming “The Butlers in Love,” directed by David Arquette. She is repped by Innovative Artists and Kritzer Levine Wilkins Entertainment.
Chris Fisher is currently directing the sequel in Utah. Ash R. Shah is producing.
