Four New THE PIRATES! BAND OF MISFITS Character Posters
Sony Pictures Animation and Aardman Entertainment (Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run) have released four new international character posters for the high seas adventure The Pirates! Band of Misfits. Directed by Peter Lord, the film features voice acting by Hugh Grant, David Tennant, Imelda Staunton, Martin Freeman, and Jeremy Piven.
First Look at Blake Lively and Benicio Del Toro in SAVAGES
Benicio Del Toro is set to return this year in what looks like he found himself one hell of a role in Oliver Stone‘s Savages. Universal Pictures Argentina has tweeted a new still from a film that we’re plenty intrigued about.
Del Toro is going to be one serious badass, vicious cartel enforcer Lado in a crime drama, based on the best-selling crime novel by Don Winslow, a great bestselling Southern California author.

The Lion King’s Roger Allers Signs on for Salma Hayek’s THE PROPHET Animated Feature
The Prophet is best known work of the Lebanese artist, philosopher and writer Kahlil Gibran. The prophet, Al-Mustafa or the Chosen One who has lived in the foreign city of Orphalese for 12 years is about to board a ship which will carry him home. He is stopped by a group of people, with whom he discusses various subjects such as life and the human condition.
Based on a Promethean man’s exile to an island, the poem became Gibran’s first English publication.
Two New THE PIRATES! BAND OF MISFITS Trailers
Today we have two new trailers – US & International for Hugh Grant’s first animated movie, The Pirates! Band of Misfits.
The fun-filled family caper is about a “Pirate Captain who sets out on a mission to defeat his rivals, Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz for the Pirate of the year Award. The quest takes the Captain and his crew from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London.”
PUSS IN BOOTS Clips, Featurettes and Commercial
DreamWorks Animation has released a new clip, eight featurettes, promo clip and commercial for Chris Miller’ Puss in Boots. The film features the voices of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris.
Miller (Shrek The Third) once again takes the helm and it also boasts an executive production credit from Guillermo Del Toro.

Sony has released the first trailer for Aardman (the guys who brought us Wallace and Gromit) and Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming stop-motion animated movie The Pirates! Band of Misfits, opening in 3D and 2D theaters on March 30, 2012.
