“Terminator Salvation” Site Launched
Sony has launched the website for McG’s Terminator follow-up, “Terminator Salvation.” At this point, the site only shows first teaser trailer that we are used to. Stay tuned.
The new movie is set in post-apocalyptic 2018. Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
“Terminator Salvation” marks the return of the Terminator series after Terminator 3 in 2003. The film arrives in theaters next summer on May 22nd, 2009.

Common signs up for ‘Terminator 4′
Common has joined the cast of the new Terminator movie.The rapper will star alongside Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin and Moon Bloodgood in the fourth instalment in the franchise, reports Variety.
He will play one of John Connor’s inner circle of freedom fighters battling the artificial intelligence system SkyNet.
The Warner Bros production is scheduled for a May 22, 2009 release.
Common was slated to play the Green Lantern in the Justice League of America film, but it was recently rumoured to have been scrapped.
Chekov Vs. The Terminators!…Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese in T4?
Anton Yelchin (Charlie Bartlett) is in negotiations to star as post-apocalyptic warrior Kyle Reese in director McG’s new Terminator movie, says The Hollywood Reporter. David Campbell Wilson, John Brancato and Michael Ferris wrote the screenplay though scribe Paul Haggis may be coming on board for a rewrite and some additions.Yelchin will play a teen version of Reese, the man who fathered world savior John Connor in the original “Terminator” film.
Christian Bale will play John Connor in the film, produced by the Halcyon Co. and set for a Warner Bros. release on May 22, 2009.

Untitled Terminator Project
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is no more in regards to the name of the next installment. Warner Bros is now calling it Untitled Terminator Project. The upcoming trilogy will star Christian Bale as John Connor and Sam Worthington as a new character named Marcus in the war against the machines. McG is set to direct the first installment of the new trilogy, based on a screenplay by Michael Ferris and John Brancato.
The film will hit theaters May 22, 2009.
Warner Bros Splits ‘Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins’ Rights With Sony
Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group has acquired the international distribution rights to Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, the upcoming next installment of a planned new trilogy featuring Christian Bale (John Connor) and Sam Worthington (new character Marcus) with McG as director.The Hollywood Reporter says that the deal inked with the film’s producers, Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson of the Halcyon Co., hands Sony’s worldwide acquisitions group arm all foreign distribution rights except for Korea and some Middle East countries. Warner Bros. is handling U.S. and Canadian distribution rights for the film, set to bow in first-half 2009. Production is scheduled to begin in the spring in New Mexico.
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins will hit theaters May 22, 2009.
Sam Worthington cast in ‘Terminator’
Sam Worthington has been cast in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.
The 31-year-old will play Marcus, a survivor of a nuclear holocaust caused by the self-aware computer network system Skynet.
Worthington’s role will reportedly span three films as he becomes a central figure in the human fight against Skynet.
Christian Bale has already been cast as John Connor, the leader of the resistance. The role has previously been played by Edward Furlong and Nick Stahl on film and Thomas Dekker in TV series The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Terminator Salvation director McG was recommended Worthington by James Cameron, the director of the first two franchise instalments.
Worthington will next be seen playing a paraplegic war veteran in Cameron’s Avatar, which is scheduled for a Christmas release next year.
