Three New EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE TV Spots
Paramount Pictures has released three new TV spots for Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.
Adapted from Jonathan Safran Foer’s 2005 novel of the same name, the film tells the story of Oskar Schell (Thomas Horn), a young boy who loses his father (Tom Hanks) during the September 11th attacks. Searching through his father’s things, Oskar discovers a mysterious key and feels compelled to search around the city to find the lock that it opens.
Brad Pitt Is Top Money-Making Star Of 2011
Brad Pitt has been voted the Top Money-Making Star of 2011 in Quigley Publishing Company’s 80th Annual Poll of Motion Picture Exhibitors. This is Pitt’s sixth appearance in the Poll, but his first win. Exhibitors felt Pitt was responsible for more traffic to theatres than any other Hollywood star based on his performances this year in “Moneyball,” “The Tree of Life” and “Happy Feet Two.” (voice)
The Quigley Poll, conducted each year since 1932, is an annual survey of motion picture theatre owners and film buyers, which asks them to vote for the ten stars that they believe generated the most box-office revenue for their theatres during the year. It has been long regarded as one of the most reliable indicators of a Star’s real box-office draw because the selections are made by professionals whose livelihood depends on choosing the films and actors that will bring audiences to their theatres. The Quigley Poll appears annually in Quigley Publishing Company’s International Motion Picture Almanac and on our web site: www.quigleypublishing.com. Both list the results of all the Polls since Marie Dressler, Janet Gaynor and Joan Crawford took the top three places in 1932.
Alfonso Cuaron’s GRAVITY Synopsis
Don’t know about you, but I’m definitely interested in the upcoming Gravity movie.
In case you’re not so familiar with this project, I will just say that it stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.
And that should be enough for the start. In the rest of this report we bring you the official synopsis part for the whole thing, so make sure you check it out!
Second EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE Trailer
I wasn’t so happy when I first heard that an adaptation of Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is coming. Don’t know why. Maybe because I’m sick and tired of all those adaptations lately, but now, when we have new trailer for the whole thing – I’m actually interested.
Movie comes from director Stephen Daldry and as I said, it’s an adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer’s book of the same name, published in 2005.
Amy Adams to Join Clint Eastwood in TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE
The primary love interest of Superman, Lois Lane, might be venturing into the world of baseball alongside Clint Eastwood for the Warner Bros. drama the Trouble With the Curve. After Sandra Bullock was unable to take the role, I hope Amy Adams will be able to take the role of Eastwood’s estranged daughter.

Academy Award Special Bets for 2011
As the Oscars look even more predictable than normal this year (Colin Firth is 1/50 to win Best Actor!) Bodog has come up with a few bets to help the long evening be a little more entertaining.
Bodog.com bet:
How many of the big 3 award winners (Director, Actor, Actress) will visibly cry when receiving their award?
- None: 4/7
- 1: 3/2
- 2: 5/1
- All 3: 20/1
Hollywood’s Top 40 Earners in 2010
James Cameron, a Canadian film producer/director, won the No. 1 position on the film industry’s top-earners list, making him Hollywood’s richest man in 2010, according to a new list of film industry top-earners, which excludes TV and other non-film–related income.
The Avatar writer, producer and director made $257 million last year, mostly from Pandora-related box office and DVD sales and associated licensing. No doubt, big-time directors are the biggest money makers. Last year Michael Bay crossed the $100 million mark. This year, by the time Avatar plays out on broadcast television, James Cameron will make close to $350 million.
Johnny Depp was selected for the second place on the list of top-earning stars, directors and producers. The list estimated Depp’s pull for the year at $100 million. That broke down as $40 million for Alice in Wonderland, $35 million for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and $20 million for The Tourist co-starring.
Viola Davis and Jeffrey Wright Join Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
I’m sure you all remember our previous reports about this project, so let’s get straight to the newest casting update!
Viola Davis and Jeffery Wright have joined the cast of the upcoming Stephen Daldry’s adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer’s novel Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.
They will join cast that already includes Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, John Goodman and child actor Thomas Horn.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close tells the story of the nine-year-old Oskar Schell, who has embarked on an urgent, secret mission that will take him through the five boroughs of New York.
His goal is to find the lock that matches a mysterious key that belonged to his father, who died in the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11.
