Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows

Two character posters from Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows (aka Sherlock Holmes 2) have been outed by Warner Bros.

A sequel to 2009′s Sherlock Holmes has director Guy Ritchie serving behind the lens once again. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law return as Sherlock and Watson respectively with Hollywood beauty Rachel McAdams, Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Eddie Marsan, Jared Harris and Stephen Fry (V for Vendetta) also in the cast ensemble.

Hero Complex has released a new photo from the highly-anticipated Sherlock Holmes 2. The movie stars Robert Downey Jr. (Sherlock Holmes), Jude Law (Dr. John Watson), Noomi Rapace, Stephen Fry, Jared Harris, Gilles Lellouche.

The following gives a better description on what the sequel is about and what is new with Holmes and Watson…

Set in 1891 — a year after the last film’s events — the sequel shows Holmes continuing his pursuit of Professor Moriarty (played by Jared Harris), who, if the investigator’s instincts are correct, might be the world’s first supervillain. Watson, meanwhile, is still trying to be a good partner to his love, Mary Morstan (Kelly Reilly), while keeping Sherlock alive.

Professor Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes 2?

That’s an interesting role for somebody like Jared Harris, guy you probably remember from titles like The Riches, Fringe and his role as Lane Pryce on AMC’s Mad Men.

And, he’s also signed co-starring in Tomas Alfredson’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, so, as you see – quite busy actor these days…

Harris joins a cast including Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, who are both reprising their roles of Holmes and Watson from Guy Ritchie’s previous installment.
