Kreuk is Chun-Li in Vancouver-bound ‘Street Fighter’

Vancouver actress and Smallville star Kristin Kreuk will topline Hyde Park Entertainment and Capcom’s Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li, based on the Japanese video game franchise. The actress will play the heroine Chun-Li.

Meanwhile, Michael Clarke Duncan, Chris Klein and Rick Yune have joined the project, according to Variety. Duncan will play Balrog, while Klein is stepping into the role of Nash. Yune will take on the mantle of the mystical Gen.

Producers are still casting the film’s villain, Bison.

20th Century Fox will distribute the film, set to begin filming in March in Bangkok, Hong Kong, and here in Vancouver.
