Red State Character Poster #6: Sarah
Kevin Smith has released the sixth poster through an auction for his upcoming horror movie Red State, which features Melissa Leo’s character, Sarah.
Due in theaters next year, the film focuses on a group of rebels who fight against extreme fundamentalism in Middle America and will make you yell before it makes you laugh. With the film being totally indie, Smith used the internet for an open approach to promote the film. He already announced that Red State would be in the Sundance Film Festival in the non-competition section.
Cedar Rapids Trailer and Poster
We have added the new trailer and poster for Fox Searchlight’s upcoming Miguel Arteta (Youth in Revolt, The Good Girl) directed comedy Cedar Rapids. Ed Helms stars in the film which also includes the acting talents of John C. Reilly, Anne Heche, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Root, Alia Shawkat, Mike O’Malley, Rob Corddry, and Seth Morris.

Three New Red State Posters
Three new posters from the upcoming Kevin Smith‘s horror film Red State, The Father, Caleb, and The Sons, have debuted online.
Synopsis: Ever since Clerks (cowinner of the Filmmakers Trophy at the 1994 Sundance Film Festival), Kevin Smith has been known for his sharp, subversive, comedic writing. He shifts from comedy to horror with Red State and aptly demonstrates that good writing transcends genre. Red State begins by following three horny high-school boys who come across an online ad from an older woman looking for a gang bang. Boys being boys, they hit the road to satisfy their libidinal urges.

Paramount pictures have debuted the second trailer for Gore Verbinski‘s CGI-animated film Rango, starring Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Bill Nighy, Stephen Root, Ray Winstone, Beth Grant, Ned Beatty, Harry Dean Stanton, and Alfred Molina.
Synopsis: A chameleon that aspires to be a swashbuckling hero finds himself in a Western town plagued by bandits and is forced to literally play the role in order to protect it.

New Red State Poster and Four Photos
Thanks to fans donating $1,000 to The Wayne Foundation, an organization that fights against child rape, director Kevin Smith has unveiled the second poster for the upcoming horror film Red State, featuring Kerry Bishe who plays the character of Cheyenne in the film. Rumor has it that Cheyenne’s a virgin.
As well, we have four new photos form the thriller, which come courtesy of The Sundance website.

Oscar nominated Melissa Leo (Frozen River), Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding), Kyle Gallner (Jennifer’s Body, A Nightmare on Elm Street), Michael Angarano (The Forbidden Kingdom), Stephen Root (Mad Money, Leatherheads, Office Space) are all in talks to co-star in the upcoming Kevin Smith‘s horror movie titled Red State.
Before these casting announcements, we heard that Michael Parks previously had been cast, and looks that he’s definitely in some good team now…
The plot of Red State is still a secret, although Smith has described it as an attack on hateful stereotypes, including Westboro Baptist Church leader Fred Phelps.
And, although he has yet to finish the script, he revealed that filming will begin on September 22nd, so all the casting deals should be finalized by then.
Rango Movie Trailer
Yesterday we debuted the poster, now today we’ve got a new trailer for the upcoming animated film Rango.
Rango centers on a chameleon who’s going through an identity crisis and embarks on a cross-country journey where he ends up in the dangerous SouthWest territory. Instead of the animals being portrayed as creatures in the wild they’re given human characteristics, a cowboy/mariachi wardrobe, and a Western genre vibe.
Leatherheads Movie Trailer
Universal has released the movie trailer for Leatherheads, a romantic comedy set in the world of 1920s football. The story follows the owner of a professional team who drafts a straight-laced college sensation in an attempt to legitimatize the sport, only to watch his new coach fall for his fiancée. Directed and starring George Clooney, co-starring John Krasinski, Renée Zellweger, and Stephen Root.
Seems a little zany to me, but I keep telling myself that this is the same guy who directed Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Good Night and Good Luck. Click on picture and watch the trailer. What you you guys think?
