Undercovers’ Gugu Mbatha-Raw for Supporting Role in Supernatural Thriller Odd Tomas
It is obvious that Stephen Sommers has not yet filled out the list of actors for his new thriller Odd Thomas. It’s actually loaded with Gugu Mbatha-Raw for supporting role in a feature that is based on the adaptation of Dean Koontz’s best-seller novel.
As already announced Anton Yelchin is in the role of the hero, short-order cook who meets a mysterious man endowed with the capacity to communicate with the dark forces. Addison Timlin starring his girlfriend, whose best friend Viola is the character played by newcomer Mbatha-Raw. Timlin is going to be a waitress, which raises two young girls whose mother died of drug-related causes.
Nico Tortorella in Talks to Join Odd Thomas as Villain
Nico Tortorella is probably best known from Scream 4, but he’ll soon become famous as the villain of the upcoming Stephen Sommers’ adaptation of Dean Koontz’s novel titled Odd Thomas. Will that happen? We have no idea, but we do know that he’s currently in talks to join the project that already includes Anton Yelchin, Addison Timlin and Willem Dafoe.
So, if Tortorella actually signs on, he will play a local cop, who is also the member of a satanic cult which wants to destroy the sleepy town.
By now, you know that Anton Yelchin is set to star as titular Thomas, Addison Timlin will play his girlfriend while Willem Dafoe is portraying the police chief, both of whom are the only ones who know Thomas’ secret.
Willem Dafoe to Join Stephen Sommers’ Odd Thomas
Are you ready for another casting update guys? Well, ok then, I’m sure you all remember our previous reports about the upcoming Stephen Sommers’ adaptation of the Dean Koontz novel Odd Thomas, so let’s get straight to the point!
Willem Dafoe is in talks to join the cast of this movie, that is already described as a supernatural thriller, and already has Anton Yelchin and Addison Timlin on board.
Now, according to the latest reports, Dafoe is in talks to play a local police Chief Wyatt Porter who is aware of the titular character’s (Yelchin) powers, who along with the love interest played by Timlin, is the only one privy to this info.
Addison Timlin to Star in Odd Thomas
Previously reported Lily Collins is no longer attached to star in an upcoming Stephen Sommers adaptation of Dean Koontz’ novel titled Odd Thomas. You know that Collins is now officially on board for The Brothers Grimm: Snow White where she will star as Snow White, but that’s not the reason why we’re here today.
We’re here to report that Addison Timlin (Californication) is now the frontrunner for Odd Thomas, although the shortlist also includes Emma Roberts, Kat Dennings and Portia Doubleday.
So, if everything works out good, Timlin will star opposite Anton Yelchin, who is already set to star as the titular Thomas.
Her character, Stormy Llewellyn, is already being described as “a short-order cook with clairvoyant abilities who encounters a mysterious man with a link to dark, threatening forces.” Timlin can handle this, right?
Lily Collins to Join Anton Yelchin in Odd Thomas
Stephen Sommers‘ adaptation of the Dean Koontz novel Odd Thomas is coming, and today we’re here for a little update! Casting, of course!
According to the latest reports, The Blind Side star, Lily Collins is the frontrunner to play character Stormy Llewellyn. If negotiations work out, Collins will star opposite previously announced Anton Yelchin who is, as you already know, set to play leading role, or simply – Thomas.
Collins definitely looks like an interesting choice for this kind of project, although we must admit that she has some tough competition. Apparently, Emma Roberts, Kat Dennings, Portia Doubleday and Addison Timlin are all contenders for that part.

Anton Yelchin will star in an upcoming Stephen Sommers adaptation of Dean Koontz’ novel titled Odd Thomas.
Yelchin will be taking on the title role of a 20-year-old fry-cook who can see ghosts and at this moment still no word on when filming might begin, or any other cast additions.

2012 Review
“2012” delivers everything you could possibly want from a blockbuster disaster movie, though you have to wonder how Roland Emmerich is going to top the end of the world.
It’s not so much that the Earth is destroyed, but that it’s done so thoroughly. “2012,” the mother of all disaster movies (and the father, and the extended family) spends half an hour on ominous set-up scenes (scientists warn, strange events occur, prophets rant and of course a family is introduced) and then unleashes two hours of cataclysmic special events hammering the Earth relentlessly.
This is fun. “2012″ delivers what it promises, and since no sentient being will buy a ticket expecting anything else, it will be, for its audiences, one of the most satisfactory films of the year.
