Plot summary: When Madea, America’s favorite pistol-packing grandma, catches sixteen-year-old Jennifer and her two younger brothers looting her home, she decides to take matters into her own hands and delivers the young delinquents to the only relative they have: their aunt April.
A heavy-drinking nightclub singer who lives off of Raymond, her married boyfriend, April wants nothing to do with the kids. But her attitude begins to change when Sandino, a handsome Mexican immigrant looking for work, moves into April’s basement room. Making amends for his own troubled past, Sandino challenges April to open her heart. And April soon realizes she must make the biggest choice of her life: between her old ways with Raymond and the new possibilities of family, faith…and even true love.
“I Can Do Bad All By Myself” is directed by Tyler Perry and hits theatres on Sept 11th 2009.
Kung Fu Kid Starts Production
According to AP, “Kung Fu Kid,” a remake of the 1984 classic, “Karate Kid,” started principal photography on Saturday.
Jaden Smith (Will Smith’s kid ) is set to star as the new kid, and Jackie Chan will play the mentor, the iconic role played by the late great Pat Morita. Taraji P. Henson will play Jaden’s mom.
Jackie Chan and Will Smith, along with Smith’s parents and sister Willow, attended a traditional Chinese ceremony to mark the start of the shoot.
The remake will be directed by Harald Zwart, (The Pink Panther 2, One Night at McCool’s). The screenplay was penned by Steve Conrad (The Pursuit of Happyness) and Chris Murphy.
“Kung Fu Kid” is set for a June 11, 2010 release.

On Sunday, December 14, American Film Institute (AFI) have announced their selections for the top ten of most outstanding motion pictures in 2008. “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” is one of them. “Benjamin Button” also is in top at the Golden Globes with five nominations. “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” directed by David Fincher is adapted from the classic 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
The movie features Benjamin Button, played by Brad Pitt, as old man who physically ages backward – ages in reverse until he becomes a baby and then finally vanishes from the earth. At age 50, he falls in love with a 30-year-old woman, Daisy (Cate Blanchett). And then must come to terms with the relationship as they literally grow in opposite directions.
