Four New Photos From “Valkyrie”

United Artists has just sent over four new photos from the Bryan Singer-directed “Valkyrie“, starring Tom Cruise, Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Patrick Wilson, Stephen Fry, Tom Wilkinson, Carice van Houten, Eddie Izzard, Halina Reijn, Kevin McNally, Christian Berkel, Terence Stamp and David Schofield.

In a country in the grips of evil, in a police state where every move is being watched, in a world where justice and honor have been subverted, a group of men hidden inside the highest reaches of power decide to take action. Tom Cruise stars in the suspense film, VALKYRIE, based on the true story of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (CRUISE) and the daring and ingenious plot to eliminate one of the most evil tyrants the world has ever known. Director Bryan Singer (THE USUAL SUSPECTS, X-MEN, SUPERMAN RETURNS) re-teams with Academy Award®-winning Usual SuspectsSUAL SUSPECTS screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie to bring to life the story of the men who led the operation to assassinate Hitler. A proud military man, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg is a loyal officer who serves his country all the while hoping that someone will find a way to stop Hitler before Europe and Germany are destroyed. Realizing that time is running out, he decides that he must take action himself and joins the German resistance. Armed with a cunning strategy to use Hitler’s own emergency plan - known as Operation Valkyrie - these men plot to assassinate the dictator and overthrow his Nazi government from the inside. With everything in place, with the future of the world, the fate of millions and the lives of his wife and children hanging in the balance, von Stauffenberg is thrust from being one of many who oppose Hitler to the one who must kill Hitler himself.

“Valkyrie” opens to theaters on December 26th.

Jim Carrey’s “Yes Man” First Teaser Trailer Is Online

The teaser trailer for the upcoming Jim Carrey’s comedy “Yes Man” directed by Peyton Reed has been released.

Jim Carrey stars as Carl Allen, a man who signs up for a self-help program based on one simple principle: say yes to everything…and anything (based on the memoir by Danny Wallace). At first, unleashing the power of “yes” transforms Carl’s life in amazing and unexpected ways, but he soon discovers that opening up his life to endless possibilities can have its drawbacks.

“Yes Man”, also starring Zooey Deschanel, Danny Masterson, Terence Stamp, Bradley Cooper will hit theaters on December 19th, 2008.

”Wanted” Sequel! The Second ”Wanted” Featurette!

Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, “Wanted” writers, revealed that one of their upcoming projects is a “Wanted” sequel!

“We’ve been hired to write the sequel to ‘Wanted’ by the same studio,” said Derek Haas, who has also provided the screenplay for “3:10 to Yuma.”

MTV News caught up with Terence Stamp (”Get Smart”, ”Valkyrie”), who confirmed that the filmmakers are already talking sequel.

“I play a character who’s called Pekwarsky. He’s an enigmatic character who doesn’t feature a lot in the first one, but it’s something that’s written for a sequel,” said Stamp.

”Wanted” - 7 Minutes Clip

The clip comes from Film1.nl and shows the opening supermarket brawl and the chase that follows.

”Wanted” will hit theaters on June 27th, 2008.
