‘Star Trek’ Viral Campaign Begins

Star Trek

You can’t really call yourself an event movie these days without some kind of viral campaign. So, obviously Star Trek’s has just begun.

If you click here to head to the official movie website and then click on the little blinking red dot next to the Star Trek logo, you will be taken to a site with the URL www.ncc-1701.com that features four screens showing very fuzzy footage. If you play with the little frequency bars underneath you can bring them into focus to show a bunch of men working on the Enterprise. To be honest, it looks much like footage from the teaser. But, it could be that something interesting will be revealed here over time. A brief shot of a corridor also flashes up if you leave the screen untouched for long enough.

We’ve had a lot of viral campaigns recently and, in the cases of The Dark Knight and Cloverfield, they’ve been excellent. Are you ready to commit yourself to another one or are you sick of viruses? Have you found any more secrets in the Star Trek campaign?

The Dark Knight Trailer, First Six Minutes

By Allan Ford | Dec 16, 2007 | Movie Trailers (1) Comment

Dark Knigh

Mere days after a godawful cam quality version of The Dark Knight teaser popped up, now the entire first six minutes of The Dark Knight has popped up online, predictably, in crappy camcorder format.

If you genuinely can’t wait to see the opening bank robbery sequence in all it’s Chris Nolan theatrical glory and you’d much rather watch it at a crappy angle with godawful, almost unintelligible sound, then enjoy below. Personally I’d rather you waited, but some people have no standards, patience or morals. But that’s okay because it’ll probably be about 30 minutes before the mighty WB gets the video pulled.
