David Oyelowo in Negotiations for Tom Cruise’s ONE SHOT
Last year’s Martin Luther King Jr. in Lee Daniels’ Selma, David Oyelowo is now in final talks for his highest profile part yet, starring opposite Tom Cruise in a Paramount-Skydance adaptation of a 2005 Lee Child’s One Shot.
Jessica Chastain, Olivia Wilde, Noomi Rapace, Brit Marling or Olga Kurylenko in HORIZONS
We’re now all talking about Horizons and not about Oblivion. But don’t get confused, that’s the same project we already wrote about, with Tom Cruise already set to star as the male lead.
In case you still don’t remember, the story of this sci-fi thriller is set in an apocalyptic future with humans living in clouds above the uninhabitable Earth. Doesn’t sound interesting to me at this moment, but thanks to the latest rumors, it could be…
Apparently, Olivia Wilde, Jessica Chastain, Noomi Rapace, Brit Marling and Olga Kurylenko are all in contention for the upcoming Joseph Kosinski’s movie, and one of them could be the next Julia, Cruise’s character fiancee before Earth was invaded, or Cruise’s “right-hand man and lover” Victoria.
At this moment still no details on whether they’re all testing for the same part, different parts, or whatever.
Let me just remind you that Cruise is on board to play a soldier relegated to staying on the planet to work on drones that seek out and destroy a savage alien life form.
10 Sexiest Movie Vampires
They suck the blood from the necks of their victims, and somehow they always get away with it. Ok that’s Hollywood baby, but still… There should be some kind of law for all those sexy beings that we like to watch on a big screen, but we’d also rather skip the meeting with them in the middle of the night. Because, that would be one hell of the fright night, indeed…
So, let’s start our with the Fright Night remake. When I first heard that a remake of the 1985 movie is coming, I was like – why the hell are they torturing us with another reboot? But when I heard that Colin Farrell was set to play a dangerous vampire Jerry Dandrige, everything came clear. I mean, look at him – he’s the reason I go to bed fantasizing that tommorow a new neighbor will move in right next door to me…
Rosamund Pike Opposite Tom Cruise in ONE SHOT
Last Saturday Rosamund Pike was up against Alexa Davalos (Clash Of The Titans) and Hayley Atwell (Captain America) for a coveted role in One Shot and villainous Bond girl is now chosen to star opposite Tom Cruise. Pike is ready to tackle the new role of a tough lawyer Helen Rodin who is also the District Attorney’s daughter. Obviously, writer and director Christopher McQuarrie (Oscar winner for writing The Usual Suspects) and Paramount people have been hard at work.
Hayley Atwell, Rosamund Pike or Alexa Davalos to Join Tom Cruise in ONE SHOT?
Yeah, One Shot exactly! Because only one lady will have an opportunity to star next to Tom Cruise in the upcoming adaptation of Lee Childs’ novel of the same name.
So here’s the thing, Hayley Atwell, Rosamund Pike and Alexa Davalos are all reading for the part now, and just in case you still don’t get it, we’re talking about the lead female part.
Yeah, I know, that looks like a great role, although I guess we’re all sick an tired of these high profile action-thrillers (at least I am).
Paramount is behind the project that will follow Cruise as an ex-Army cop who gets sucked into the mystery surrounding the arrest of a sniper accused of killing five random people in a shooting.
So, as usual, our leading guy needs help, and who can help him better then a beautiful young defense lawyer? Aw, that’s cute. But who will take this part? If you ask me, I think that Atwell has pretty good chance to win this. If you need more details about the whole thing, check out the synopsis part:
