Toy Story Fans, Rejoyce This Year!
Pixar and Toy Story fans rejoice as this year you shall be considered to not just one new Toy Story short film, but now two.
It had been earlier reported that a new ‘Toy Story’ short film would be played before screenings of Pixar’s Cars 2 in June 24. Now Pixar have revealed through Variety that a following all new ‘Toy Story’ short will hit this year as well, this time in November with Disney’s The Muppets. Details are unspecified up till now of what the story to the second short will go after.
The short that will be shown in front of ‘Cars 2′ will center on the characters of Barbie and Ken after their exploits in Toy Story 3. Being left behind their Hawaii vacation, Buzz Lightyear and Woody attempt to recreate a Hawaii paradise to please the disappointed Barbie and Ken. The above synopsis comes from the children’s book ‘Play-Cation!’, based on the upcoming short called Toy Story Hawaiian Vacation.
Disney’s Beauty and The Beast, Monsters Inc. 2, The Guardians Delayed
Fairytale gone bad? Well, it looks so. According to some reports, Beauty and the Beast 3D has been pushed off the 2011 calendar and postponed indefinitely.
This project was originally scheduled to hit theaters Valentine’s Day 2010, which, of course, never happened.
And, now we have an info that it’s being pushed back to 2011 or later, because of the lack of enthusiasm surrounding 3D TVs.
But, that’s not all! Guys from Disney changed other release dates so now we have Monsters Inc. 2 moving from November 16, 2012 to November 2, 2012; the teen comedy Prom is now set for April 29, 2011 and DreamWorks’ The Guardians (tentative title) is moving from November 21, 2012 to November 2, 2012.
Toy Story 3 Lots-O’-Huggin’ Bear Poster
Disney/Pixar has released the brand new poster for Toy Story 3, featuring a look at new toy - Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear.
The story of the third film, directed by Lee Unkrich, follows all familiar toys as they are donated to a day-care center following Andy’s departure for college. Now they will be forced to decide whether they’d like to stay and be a part of a new, bigger family of toys, or whether they’d like to try and make a break for it and return to Andy.
Toy Story 3D Double Feature Trailer And Clip
Disney converted “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2″ to 3D. Check out great 3D Double Feature trailer and extended clip featuring Woody and Buzz Lightyear having a little fun with the different dimensions.

‘Toy Story’ 1, 2 and 3 getting extra dimension
Walt Disney Studios has announced plans to convert Toy Story and Toy Story 2 for 3D presentation and that Toy Story 3 will also take advantage of the technology.
Toy Story 3D will appear in cinemas (at least American ones) on October 2, 2009. Toy Story 2 3D will follow on February 12, 2010. That’s ahead of the release of the third film in the series, which is set for release on June 18, 2010.
John Lasseter said ’I am sure that this is going to be nothing short of fantastic and people are going to be blown away by the experience. With ‘Toy Story 3′ shaping up to be another great adventure for Buzz, Woody and the gang from Andy’s room, we thought it would be great to let audiences experience the first two films all over again and in a brand new way. 3-D offers lots of great new possibilities for the art of animation and we will continue to use this new technology to tell our stories in the best possible way’.
