“Twilight” Premiere And Reviews

Posted by Fiona 20 November, 2008 (0) Comment

For many of “Twilight” fans, the long-awaited premiere of “Twilight” is the biggest event of the year, of course. With nearly 2,000 shows already sold out, Summit Entertainment’s teen vampire romance “Twilight” is looking more like a studio blockbuster than some of the blockbusters.

“Twilight” has whipped up such a frenzy among tween and teenage girls that advance ticket sales are the biggest for any film since “The Dark Knight.” - Variety

“Twilight,” the big screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s novel opened this Friday. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke from a script by Melissa Rosenberg, the Summit release stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Cam Cigandet, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene.

Seems most of the major outlets have published reviews, and they’re quite positive, there are also lots of disappointment.

Twilight 2: Sequel Confirmed

Posted by Allan Ford 15 October, 2008 (0) Comment

According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, Summit Entertainment is already prepping for a sequel to their highly-anticipated film, “Twilight“. Sequel will be based on Stephenie Meyer’s next book of the series, “New Moon“.

Though mentioning that the studio have officially gone ahead with their plan for the sequel, no further details about the sequel is shared. About the book from which the second movie will be based on, it has been said to be focused on losing true love. In the follow-up story, Isabella “Bella” Swan has grown to be an eighteen-year-old young woman.

The film’s soundtrack, though not yet available, is already on Amazon’s Top 5 Best-Selling Albums. Borders made a retail exclusive calendar in anticipation of the film and the first print sold out in a few days. On the viral side, reports claim that the film’s latest trailer was watched 3.5 million times in the first 48 hours of its online debut. Strong indeed.

No definitive plans were announced, though, and it isn’t clear whether Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke will return.

Twilight opens to theaters on November 21st.

37 New Twilight Photos!

Posted by Allan Ford 13 October, 2008 (4) Comment

Take a look at 37 brand new photos from the upcoming “Twilight” which will hit the theaters on November 21st 2008.

“Twilight” is an action-packed, modern day love story between a vampire and a human. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother remarries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn’t expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she’s ever met. Intelligent and witty, he sees straight into her soul. Soon, Bella and Edward are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance. Edward can run faster than a mountain lion, he can stop a moving car with his bare hands - and he hasn’t aged since 1918. Like all vampires, he’s immortal. But he doesn’t have fangs, and he doesn’t drink human blood; Edward and his family are unique among vampires in their lifestyle choice. To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for - a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward & Bella do when James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), the Cullens’ mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for her?

The film is directed by Catherine Hardwicke, starring Kristen Steward,Robert Pattinson and Justin Chon. Read the rest of this entry
