Cannes 2011: Un Certain Regards Winners
I know you’re all waiting to hear what projects were the luckiest at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, so we’re here to start our little report with Un Ceartain Regards winners!
I’m sure you already remember our previous reports about the movies that have competed in this category, so you know that it consisted of 21 films from 19 different countries.
So, let’s start with Andreas Dresen‘s Stopped on Track and Kim Ki-duk‘s Arirang, which shared Cannes’ Un Certain Regard Prize.

You think I’m kidding? No, guys, I’m serious, here’s the trailer for The Day He Arrives, project that comes from Korean director Hong Sang-soo, and that we’ll soon have a chance to watch in Un Certain Regard category at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Check it out.
Cannes 2011: Yellow Sea by Na Hong-jin
Ok, let’s continue our little chat about the upcoming projects that will compete in the Un Certain Regard section at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. You already know that the festival will run from May 11 to May 22, so let’s not waste our precious time.
The next project is definitely the most highly anticipated film of the latter half of the 2010, which comes from South Korean director Na Hong-jin, and is titled Yellow Sea.
As we said, the most highly anticipated movie! Just in case you have any doubts about it, let us say that the film opened on December 22, 2010 in South Korea and was top at the box office with 1.05 million tickets sold!
Gus Van Sant’s Restless to Open Un Certain Regard at Cannes Film Festival 2011
News from Cannes again, but this time we’re here to chat about Gus Van Sant‘s latest project titled Restless that will present on the opening night, on Thursday, May 12, in the Un Certain Regard selection.
Around 20 movies make up the official selection each year at Un Certain Regard, and, as we previously reported, Emir Kusturica, this year’s president of the jury, will present the Prize Un Certain Regard on May 21.

Look at your calendars guys, spring is coming, and it’s the perfect time to start our little chat about the upcoming 64th Festival de Cannes that will, this time, be held from 11th to 22nd May!
As usual, we’re all interested to see who will be in charge, or if you prefer – who will preside the Un Certain Regard jury, we’re here to inform you that Emir Kusturica, the Serbian film-maker is on board for that one!
Every year, Un Certain Regard, at the very heart of Official Selection, alongside the Competition, presents around twenty films from countries the world over that are characterised by the originality of their ideas as well as their aesthetic.
Cannes 2008 – Un Certain Regard Jury Complete
Fatih Akin will preside the Un Certain Regard Jury at the Festival de Cannes from May 14-25, 2008.
German director, scriptwriter and producer, Fatih Akin was awarded the Best Screenplay Prize at the 60th Festival de Cannes with The Edge of Heaven.
