Here’s the fist trailer for Francis Ford Coppola‘s upcoming horror thriller “Twixt“.

Starring Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern,  Bruce Dern, Ben Chaplin and Elle Fanning, the trailer introduces the plot in a rather interesting way. The film follows a writer Hall Baltimore (Kilmer) whose career is in a deep slump. Our protagonist arrives in a small town on a book tour only to get drawn into a murder involving a young girl. Where some see tragedy, the author sees an opportunity to finally get back on top with a novelization of the murder that he is currently woven himself into in real life.

Talented director and writer of the horror movie Wrestlemaniac, Jesse Baget is on board to direct the thriller Breathless and Val Kilmer, Ray Liotta and Gina Gershon are all set to star along Kelli Giddish known for her role on the ABC’s drama All My Children.

Gershon plays the role of woman tired of her gangster husband’s scams and shady dealings and she let her best friend know and plan something special with Kilmer who would portray her criminal husband. Liotta would play a local sheriff brought into whatever mix there is as well.

Francis Ford Coppola Returns to Comic-Con with TWIXT

Iconic filmmaker will make his first trip back to San Diego since 1991!

Francis Ford Coppola will be presenting portions of his upcoming film TWIXT at a panel discussion on Saturday, July 23 at Hall H. TWIXT stars Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern, Elle Fanning, and Ben Chaplin. Coppola describes the film as, “one part Gothic romance, one part personal film, and one part the kind of horror film that began my career.”

Coppola has a unique new approach to the presentation of the film that will incorporate live music by acclaimed independent performance artist Dan Deacon. Deacon will attend Comic-Con with Coppola to help demonstrate the interactive experience of the film. The film incorporates both 2-D and 3-D elements.

Val Kilmer Toplines The First Ride Of Wyatt Earp

Val Kilmer, The First Ride of Wyatt Earp

Val Kilmer will play the elderly Wyatt Earp in indie Western The First Ride of Wyatt Earp, which Michael Feifer is directing. The screenplay is penned by Darren Benjamin Shepherd and the flick is now in production in California. Barry Barnholtz and Jeffrey Schenck are producing through Hybrid banner, and Peter Sullivan is co-producing.

Val Kilmer has been involved in the Wyatt Earp story once before, playing Doc Holliday in Tombstone. He earlier played the title character in the TV movie Billy the Kid, so he is definitely not a newcomer to Western.

The storyline will be about a journalist interviewing a senior citizen Earp about his legendary days as a marshal in the Wild West and they’ll show the story about his rounding up a posse to find the outlaw that mistakenly killed the woman he loved.

Based on a true story, the film centers on Irish mobster Danny Greene.

The movie has really great cast like Ray Stevenson who plays Danny Greene, Christopher Walken, Val Kilmer, Vinnie Jones, Vincent D’Onofrio, Paul Sorvino, Steven R. Schirripa, Robert Davi and Laura Ramsey.

Here’s the Kill the Irishman synopsis:

Over the summer of 1976, thirty-six bombs detonate in the heart of Cleveland while a turf war raged between Irish mobster Danny Greene and the Italian mafia.
