Anonymous Trailer
The first trailer has arrived for the upcoming dramatic thriller Anonymous, which stars Rhys Ifans and Vanessa Redgrave.
The film tries to answer the question: Who was the author of the plays credited to William Shakespeare? Experts have debated, books have been written, and scholars have devoted their lives to protecting or debunking theories. “Anonymous” poses one possible answer, focusing on a time when cloak-and-dagger political intrigue, illicit romances in the Royal Court, and the schemes of greedy nobles hungry for the power of the throne were exposed in the most unlikely of places: the London stage.
Miral by Julian Schnabel, Venice Film Festival 2010
Another movie selected In Competition at 67th Venice Film Festival is movie titled Miral, directed by Julian Schnabel.
The movie is based on Rita Jebreal novel, and is already being described as one “dedicated to all those, on both sides, who believe peace is possible, is noble and sincere, a real ode to tolerance, which shows us that you can teach pacifism while all around is falling apart….”
Miral is “a chronicle of Hind Husseini’s effort to establish an orphanage in Jerusalem after the 1948 partition of Palestine and the creation of the state of Israel.

Here is the trailer and poster for upcoming film The Whistleblower, which stars Rachel Weisz and Monica Bellucci.
Kathryn Bolkovac is a Nebraska cop who is thrust into the gravelly snake pit of UN regulated Bosnia. She works as part of a private corporate army, training Bosnian police to restore order to the war-torn country. As she begins to get the lay of the land in her new environment, she starts to see signs of a terrible underground industry whose patrons are not only from within the corporation but from within the United Nations as well.
International Robin Hood Movie Trailer
We got our first trailer for Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood last week and now Yahoo! released a new international trailer and it’s better than the first one.
Oscar winner Russell Crowe stars as the titular character, alongside Oscar winner Cate Blanchett (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) as the lovely Maid Marion and co-stars Vanessa Redgrave, William Hurt (The Incredible Hulk, Mr. Brooks), Mark Strong (Kick-Ass, Sherlock Holmes), Kevin Durand, Saoirse Ronan and Scott Grimes.
Crowe plays the expert archer Robin Hood who leads a band of marauders to confront corruption and lead an uprising against the English crown. In an effort to save the village of Nottingham and win the hand of the spirited widow Lady Marion (Blanchett), this hero rises from humble beginnings to become an eternal symbol of freedom for his people.
Ralph Fiennes’ Directorial Debut Coriolanus
Ralph Fiennes will make his directorial debut with an adaptation of William Shakespeare‘s Roman tragedy “Coriolanus.” Fiennes will also play the title role, Roman general Caius Martius – Coriolanus.
Fiennes will direct from the script by John Logan (“Gladiator,” “The Aviator,” “The Last Samurai,” “Sweeney Todd“).
“People who have read it think it’s a page-turner,” said Fiennes. “I want it to be an edge-of-the-seat film.”
Christian Bale as Robin Hood in Ridley Scott’s ”Nottingham”?
Christian Bale is in talks to appear as Robin Hood in Ridley Scott‘s revisionist take on the story entitled ”Nottingham,” according to UK’s Daily Mail.
If Bale takes on the role, he will be part of a menage a trois that also includes Russell Crowe as the Sheriff of Nottingham and Sienna Miller as Maid Marion.
While Bale hasn’t signed on just yet, Scott is very eager to cast the actor in the role.
