Timur Bekmambetov

Ok, this project is definitely not a surprise, because, as you remember, we previously reported that Tim Burton is set to produce a live action feature based on the book of the same name.

But that’s not the only reason why we’re here today…

“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter I’m prepping to direct myself. It is not a comedy at all, it is a very entertaining, epic history lesson for millions and millions of teenagers.

If you remember Nightwatch, it is maybe in the vein of that kind of movie. We are keeping the traditional look of Lincoln – the big hat and the beard. He has to be historically correct, but with a few special weapons.

Angelina Jolie in Wanted

Yes, we know, when it comes to Wanted 2, the most asked question is – did Angelina Jolie kill it?

So, maybe the best thing that author Mark Millar did, is an interview with MTV, where he confirmed that Universal and director Timur Bekmambetov are planning to move on without Jolie and put together the film anyway with a new character from the comic book in place of Jolie.

Check what Millar actually said:

“They killed off the most recognizable character, but I thought it was great to do that. It was so ballsy to kill off the one person you didn’t expect to die.”

Mark Millar

With “Wanted” being a huge success this summer, it’s no surprise that creator of the graphic novel, Mark Millar is already talking plans for more sequels to the film.

Plans were put into motion to make another movie as soon as the movie broke the $50 million mark, and Millar was of course happy to oblige:

“What I will be doing is providing them with a very small amount of stuff for a story, and that will be used as a basic story that they can build from. It will be a small outline that can possibly be picked apart and not used – but it will be something exclusively for the second film, and no one will ever really see it…. It will be some of the stuff that we didn’t utilize from the first book for the movie – like chapters three and four – there will be some stuff from that, so in the loosest sense it will be based on the book, but only very little,”
