Vinnie Jones In Smokin’ Aces: Blowback
Vinnie Jones has signed on for two upcoming films: prequel “Smokin’ Aces: Blowback” directed by P.J. Pesce from the script by Tom Abrams and director of the original “Smokin’ Aces” – Joe Carnahan and the comedy “Wedlocked” written and directed by Rob Hedden.
In “Smokin’ Aces: Blowback,” Jones plays an assassin gunning for a mob snitch who is hiding in Las Vegas. Tom Berenger, Clayne Crawford, Tommy Flanagan and Maury Sterling also will star in the film.
The original “Smokin’ Aces” has been released in the U.S. on January 26, 2007. Following the story of a Las Vegas magician turned mafia informant and the FBI agent assigned to protect him, this Universal movie is a star studded action comedy led by Jeremy Piven and Ryan Reynolds. It also stars Ben Affleck, Andy Garcia, Alicia Keys, Peter Berg, Kevin Durand and Common.
Dave Annable Will Star With Katharine McPhee in “Wedlocked”
Dave Annable (TV’s “Brothers & Sisters”) has been cast in the romantic comedy called “Wedlocked” opposite “American Idol” runner-up Katharine McPhee.
He will play a photographer who becomes entangled with a gangster and his daughter, who is seeking American citizenship. Things go terribly awry on their forced honeymoon.
Rob Hedden (“The Condemned”) will direct the film from his own script.
The production will start in Oahu, Hawaii in March while Annable is on hiatus from his ABC show.
