Will Ferrell Set For “Everything Must Go”
Will Ferrell (Step Brothers, Semi-Pro, Old School) has agreed to star in the low budget film, “Everything Must Go.” The indie film from first-time feature director Dan Rush will have a budget of just $10 million.
Rush wrote the script, based on a Raymond Carver short story. Ferrell plays a man who loses his job and then gets locked out of the house by his wife. When she throws out all of his belongings, he decides to spend the next four days on the lawn trying to sell them.
Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey will produce through their Temple Hill Productions company.
“The Other Guys” Begins Filming

Allen and Terry idolize the city’s top cops, Danson and Manzetti (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson), but when an opportunity arises for the Other Guys to step up, things don’t quite go as planned.

Ferrell will most likely shoot “Two Face” before he gets to work on the Etan Cohen scripted Sherlock Holmes and Watson, a comedy that he will be co-starring in with Sasha Baron Cohen.
Robert Downey Jr. in Sherlock Holmes – Confirmed
Robert Downey Jr. is set to star as the main character in Sherlock Holmes.

The film’s storyline is inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s novels and also the “Sherlock Holmes” comics, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Guy Ritchie will direct this Sherlock version for Warner Bros.
The concept sees Holmes as more adventurous and less stuffy than previous screen incarnations and mines more obscure character traits.
Ritchie’s Holmes will begin shooting in October and will have to contend with Columbia’s Sherlock Holmes, a comedy version set to star Sacha Baron Cohen as Holmes and Will Ferrell as Dr. Watson. Judd Apatow is producing the comedy.
Of course, Ritchie’s version will be more serious as they intend to draw from both the literary and comic versions of Holmes
