Robert Rodat Named as Writer For World of Warcraft Movie
Sam Rami (Drag Me to Hell) recently spoke with MTV and discussed World of WarCraft movie, noting that Robert Rodat, who penned Steven Spielberg‘s “Saving Private Ryan“, writing the script . He says the movie will be an original tale based on the overall game rather than a specific storyline.
Brandon Routh Wants Warcraft
MTV Splash Page ‘s Rick Marshall recently spoke with Brandon Routh, “Superman Returns” star and the “World of Warcraft” fan at San Diego Comic-Con about the live-action Warcraft movie.
Routh is hoping that he can join Warcraft, since he will likely not be back as the man of steel.
Sam Raimi is Directing WORLD OF WARCRAFT Movie!
Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. and Legendary Pictures announced that Sam Raimi, director of Evil Dead, Spider-Man films and Drag Me to Hell, has signed on to direct a big screen adaptation of World of Warcraft (WOW).
Variety says he’ll start supervising the pre-production and development of Warcraft: The Movie while at the same time finishing up Spider-Man 4. The fourth Spidey film starts shooting next year, with Warcraft to follow.
