Three-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams (The Fighter), Oscar-nominee Richard Jenkins (The Visitor), Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls), Oscar nominee Terrence Howard (Hustle & Flow) will star in acclaimed fine artist Andrew Levitas’ debut feature dramedy Lullaby.
Up-and-comers Garrett Hedlund (TRON: Legacy) and Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey) are also starring.
‘Life-affirming tale of family and love’ centers on a man (Hedlund) forced to get back in touch with his estranged family after his critically sick father (Jenkins) removes his own life support.
The film which explores the power of life and the reconnections between loved ones, Levitas will direct from his own screenplay.
Mimi Steinbauer, which Radiant Films International is shopping to foreign buyers at Cannes, said:
Andrea and Cary have assembled a truly stellar cast for this life-affirming tale of family and love. And in Andrew Levitas’ visionary hands, Lullaby will unquestionably an exciting film.
A nice mix of veterans and rising stars is set to shoot this June in New York City.
Hedlund can next be seen in Walter Salles’On the Road, alongside co-star, Adams, while his role in the Coen brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis can be seen early next year. Jenkins is coming off a fantastic turn in Drew Goddard’s The Cabin in the Woods, and he’ll next be seen in Killing Them Softly and Lawrence Kasdan’sDarling Companion. After that, you can find him in Liberal Arts, The Company You Keep and One Shot, opposite Tom Cruise.
Beside On the Road, Adams other upcoming films include Trouble with the Curve, The Master and, of course, highly anticipated Man of Steel.
