The Expendables 3 Updates

Despite Expendables 2 opening total was 17% below the first film and is currently at 65 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, development work has started on The Expendables 3, as expected.

Since there’s been very little news lately about the last movie in the Expendables saga, Sylvester Stallone has provided fans of the star studded action franchise sequel an update, confirming that Steven Seagal won’t be part of the film:

He has updated his Twitter account with some more details about casting:

Wesley Snipes is, according to Dolph Lundgren, also on Sly’s wish list alongside Jackie Chan. Nicolas Cage and Jason Statham are reportedly confirmed to return with John Woo possibly directing.

Stallone will next be seen in The Tomb opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger, and that’s followed by boxing comedy Grudge Match, which he’s just finished shooting with Robert De Niro.

The Expendables 2 grossed over $300 million worldwide, with its greatest success outside North America.
